August continues to be a busy month, with another 30-plus events on the agenda for this weekend’s motorsport community.
Starting in Tasmania, the Hobart Sporting Car Club will welcome drivers to the Baskerville Raceway for Round 4 of the 2025 DGA RENT Tasmanian Circuit Racing Championship. The State Championship event takes place on Sunday as the state’s headline act, supported the day earlier by the North West Car Club’s Highclere Motorkhana on Saturday.
Queensland presents fun opportunities for drivers and spectators alike, with Douglas Shire Motor Sport Association and Ipswich West Moreton Auto Club hosting Round 7 of its Club Khanacross Championship and Round 4 of its Autocross Open Sprint season respectively. The pair of events will be hosted at the Reef and Rainforest Track and Willowbank Motorsport Park.
Adding to Queensland’s rundown, Motorsport Australia takes its FIA Girls on Track Play Well program to Norwell Motorplex across both Saturday and Sunday. This world-class and hands-on program is designed especially for girls aged 14-22 with basic driving skills, eager to experience motorsport for the first time. The Sporting Car Club of South Australia will host two separate events this weekend at its Collingrove Hillclimb venue, facilitating a Come and Try Day on Saturday, before hosting Round 4 of its Hillclimb Winter Cup the following day.
The South Eastern Auto Club hosts it Burrangle Bash Touring Road Event at its local forest reserves on both Saturday and Sunday, while the Tarmac Junior Development Program Association of South Australia hosts its first Junior Development day on Sunday at The Bend Motorsport Park.
While no State or National Championship events will take place in New South Wales this weekend, local clubs are at full operational capacity.
The Kempsey Sporting Car Club heads to Mount Cooperabung for Round 3 of its Hillclimb Tri Series, New England Sporting Car Club will host its fourth Khanacross of 2025, and the MG Car Club of Newcastle is scheduled for Round 6 of its 2025 Auto Test Series at Ringwood Park Motorplex.
Victoria’s lone State Championship event this week will be hosted at Winton, with Round 3 of the Victorian Super Sprint Championships hosted by the Marque Sports Car Association Victoria, which will host Round 5 of its own Supersprint Championships the same day.
Those eager to get into motorsport or newly introduced participants also have a great opportunity to test their mettle on one of the country’s premier circuits, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, as the Phillip Island Auto Racing Club hosts its annual Autumn Access event on both Saturday and Sunday.
The 2025 August Access promises a weekend of exciting racing, announcing that the Dunlop Circuit Excel Nationals 2025 and the 2025 AU4 Championship will both race on Saturday. Sunday will offer a chance for sedan owners to take part in Super Sunday Sedan Sprints.
