The inaugural Semi Final of the Repco Supercars Championship is underway at Sandown International Raceway in Victoria for the Penrite Oil Sandown 500, which will set the scene for next month’s bp Adelaide Grand Final.
The marquee event this weekend, the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 will headline a jam-packed weekend for motorsport around the country and will welcome motorsport enthusiasts from all over the country.
With all National Championships decided, an Off Road Champion and an Australian Rally Champion crowned, club-level events will take centre stage for the remainder of the year.
The MG Car Club of Victoria hosts the 33rd Historic and Classic Rob Roy Hillclimb, Kyneton Car Club’s King of Kyneton event, Ford Four Car Club’s Ronn Jay Motorsport Weekend and the Victorian Motorsport and Cruise Club’s Barnawartha Come and Try/Sprint Day are some of the other events slated in Victoria for this weekend.
It’s a full swathe of club events this weekend in New South Wales with 12 events on offer for spectators and competitors.
To name a few, Bathurst Light Car Club will run the second annual Andrew Robinson Khanacross on Sunday at The Quarry, Kempsey Sporting Car Club’s That’s it for the Year Khanacross heads to Unkya Reserve Sunday, and Cooma Monaro Historical Automobile Club will run a Hillclimb and Come and Try Day over Saturday and Sunday at Mount Gladstone.
Western Australia’s clubs will be busy with four events lined up, all taking place Saturday.
The South West Touring Car Club’s Autocross Series reaches Round 4, the Light Car Club of WA will run the Champion Autoglass Navigation Rally from Chidlow to Northam, TECCWA’s RedMist Service 15 Khanacross Event 6 heads to Carco.com.au Raceway over Saturday and Sunday, and the WA Car Club launches its Summer Autocross season at Perth Motorplex.
In other states, the MG Car Club of Tasmania hosts its annual Concours and Noggin and Natter to accompany the club’s Annual General Meeting proceedings in Sheffield. The Sporting Car Club of South Australia will run its Collingrove Season Finale Hillclimb Sunday, and Round 2 of the Top End Mud Racing Association takes place Saturday at Downes Park in the Northern Territory.
The 2025 Noosa Summer Hillclimb at Tewantin National Park headlines a trio of events in Queensland.
