Grassroots clubs are staying busy with more than 20 events lined up this weekend.
Queensland will host a pair of events this weekend, with Ipswich West Moreton Auto Club to host a Day Twilight Drivers Challenge Saturday at Willowbank Motorsport Park and Hervey Bay Motor Sports Association hosting Round 7 of its khanacross series in Tinana.
The Vintage Sports Car Club of WA will run its regularity event, the Vintage Stampede, at Carco.com.au Raceway on Sunday, meanwhile Round 2 of the WA Car Club’s Summer Autocross season returns to Perth Motorplex on Wednesday.
Round Three of the Top End Mud Racing Association’s 25/26 season heads to Downes Park on Saturday and Round Seven of the 2025 Motorsport Australia Tasmanian Circuit Racing Championship will run over two days at Baskerville Raceway.
It’s a busy end of the week for The Bend Motorsport Park with the venue to run the Circuit Excel SA Enduro on Friday around the Western Circuit, before Track Sports and Porsche Club of South Australia run its sprint and tarmac junior development program on Saturday.
The Mount Gambier Saleyards will also be in action when the Limestone Coast Off Road Club runs Round Five of its inter club khanacross series alongside South Eastern Automobile Club.
In New South Wales, Christmas spirit will be on display with Lithgow District Car Club’s Xmas Funkhana, Porsche Club of NSW’s Christmas Motofusion, and Douglas Shire Motor Sport Association’s Christmas Party all set to inject some festive cheer to the motorsport community.
Victoria will boast the largest allotment of events this weekend with six different event types taking place in the next two days.
Westmere Motorsport Club will host a Christmas Motorkhana of its own at Westmere Recreation Reserve on Saturday and Sunday, and Bendigo Khanacross Club is scheduled to take over Bagshot Motrsports Complex Sunday for a khanacross event.
There are also a few beginner-level events lined up, with Victorian Historic Racing Register hosting a Come and Try Day at Calder Park Raceway, Geelong Motorsport Club and Western District Car Club hosting a Come and Try Day event in Geelong Sunday, and Pakenham Auto Club hosting a practice event at 21 Key Lane.
