Aussie teenager makes jump to Formula 4

16-year-old George Proudford-Nalder will be the newest Australian to be part of the United Kingdom’s respected British F4 Championship, driving for Virtuosi Racing during the 2026 season.

From Orange, New South Wales, Proudford-Nalder brought his karting background over to the UK last year, instantly making an impact on his debut season in the Ginetta Junior Championship.

George Proudford-Nalder declared his excitement to be joining Virtuosi Racing for the 2026 British F4 season.

“Winter testing has gone really well,” Proudford-Nabler stated.

“The car feels great, the team vibe is amazing, and I can’t wait to keep building on this momentum into 2026.

“I’ve always wanted to compete in single-seaters, and I am really looking forward to getting started.”

Proudford-Nalder was a frontrunner with the MDD squad from the word go in a one-make series which has previously sprung the careers of drivers like Lando Norris and Isack Hadjar.

The Australia finished his rookie campaign with a top-seven finish in the points, and will now make the rise to single-seaters as he joins race-winning squad, Virtuosi Racing.

“I am delighted that George will be joining our team for the upcoming season, further strengthening the depth and talent within our line-up,” Mark Salmon, Virtuosi Racing Team Manager said.

“George has carried out several tests with us at the end of this year, consistently demonstrating impressive potential, a strong work ethic, and outstanding speed.

“I am looking forward to seeing what the year ahead will bring. With George as part of the team, we are confident in the results we can achieve together.”

Proudford-Nalder will participate in a 30-race calendar spanning 10 rounds, visiting the UK’s most famous and historic racetracks in the process. The season also travels to the Netherlands’ Zandvoort Circuit in the summer.
