World Rally Championship – Rally Sweden
A strong performance from Aussie pairing Taylor Gill and Daniel Brkic has produced a terrific start to the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) campaign, securing a P4 in the pair’s debut WRC2 appearance.
The duo got aboard the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, where Gill was able to showcase his speed and consistency across the four days.
The Australians finished behind only a trio of seasoned Finnish drivers who have spent several seasons in the WRC2 category already, marking a major milestone for Gill and Brkic, considering their limited seat time in the new machinery.
“Finishing fourth on debut in WRC2 is something I’m very proud of,” Gill said at the end of the event.
“We were learning the new car all weekend, but it felt like progress was being made on every stage, and that was helping us build our speed and confidence.
“The Rally2 car is so much more advanced than the Rally3 car we have been used to, and to be at the speed we were at after just one test day is great.”
Securing a top-four finish, Gill and Brkic look ahead to the tarmac stages of the Croatia Rally, Round 4 of the WRC, and beyond.
Formula Winter Series – Valencia
Developing open-wheel competitor Noah Killion continued his Formula Winter Series run in Valencia, Spain, stringing together a collection of positive sessions.
The weekend began with a top 10 result in qualifying, posting a 1:35.362, only half a second off pole position.
Killion gained a couple of positions in Race 1 to begin a busy Sunday schedule, maintaining good pace and discipline on track.

A 10-second time penalty for track limits put a dampener on Killion’s second race, settling for 24th in the penultimate session. However, the US Racing driver bounced back in Race 3 to finish 11th, again showing composure beyond his years on the track.
Killion will enjoy an extended break before the Formula Winter Series returns for Round 5 from 5-8 March in Aragorn at the Circuito de Alcañiz.
Formula Regional Middle East Trophy Series – Lusail
Alex Ninovic’s early-year Formula Regional run came to a close in Lusail, Qatar, for the final round of the Middle East Trophy Series.
Driving for Rodin Motorsport, Ninovic began the fourth and final round with a strong seventh in Qualifying 1, before partially falling down the order to 23rd in Qualifying 2.

Ninovic concluded the weekend and the season with 15th in Race 1 and 27th in Race 2 and locking him into the top quarter of the drivers standings for the season.
Overall, Ninovic can leave the Middle East Trophy Series with his head held high, accumulating 66 points across the 11 rounds – placing him seventh overall.
Formula Regional UAE4 Series – Lusail
AU4 Championship representative Brock Burton was present in Qatar for the final round of the UAE4 Series.
A promising F4 competitor locally, Burton signed with XCEL Motorsport prior to the opening round of the Series.
A rookie on the grid, Burton kept pace with the field, finishing 34th in the first and second qualifying sessions.

Eager to commence the first race session, good racecraft and clinical overtakes brought the Aussie debutant up multiple positions finishing 28th after 11 laps in a heavily interrupted session with multiple safety cars, a red flag and limited racing laps. Burton again gained a net positive in positions to place 32nd in Race 2.
Burton’s best performance was saved for the final session, placing 23rd in Race 3 following 14 laps of the Lusail International Circuit.
The Series for Burton proved a productive stepping stone ahead of the upcoming AU4 Championship season.
