The 2025 Motorsport Australia National Awards Gala, presented by Shannons and supported by Stage & Screen, hosted more than 250 guests at The Eveleigh at The Grounds in Sydney to acknowledge Australian motorsport’s champions, long-serving stalwarts and industry media.
Hosted by motorsport commentator Greg Rust and Motorsport Australia’s Development Manager Charlie Barlow, the night celebrated the outstanding achievements of the 2025 season.
Many of the sport’s finest competitors were acknowledged for their 2025 performances in circuit racing, rallying, off road, speed and auto test – with both returning champions and first-time winners among the list of recipients.
The evening also recognised officials, volunteers, and members of the broader motorsport community who have made a lasting impact to the sport over their lifetimes, and in 2025.

Honours were awarded across a broad range of generations and ages, with participants representing the entire motorsport community.
Jacqueline Devereaux was named 2025 Australian Motorsport Official of the Year for her exceptional commitment to motorsport and managing officials.
A respected role model and a true team player, Jacqueline empowers those around her through her supportive and inclusive management style. She is humble, down-to-earth, and brings a strong ‘can do’ attitude to every challenge.

Another inductee was announced as a Member of Honour in recognition of her lifelong contribution to Australian motorsport:
- Monique Connelly, for serving tirelessly across four decades, to promote motorsport in Australia. Monique was instrumental in bringing the World Rally Championship to Australia in the late 1980s – becoming a well-known much-admired figure within the FIA, WRC, Formula 1, and the wider motorsport community.
A further two individuals received Motorsport Australia Life Membership for their contributions to the sport, including:
- Ian Tate, for his contribution to motorsport development, being a member of the powerhouse Holden Dealer Team and community events such as the Phillip Island Festival of Speed and his service as President of the Victorian Historic Racing Register for 27 years.
- John Hurney, for being a strong advocate for Western Australian motorsport and distinguished, expert, and influential service across six decades in Australian motorsport.
- Mike Breen, for conceiving, developing, and managing multiple motorsport categories in Australia while personally supporting drivers, teams, and manufacturers to achieve success in motorsport.
The Presidential Citation was given to admired motorsport competitor Corinne East-Johnston, in recognition of her advocacy and mentorship of women in motorsport with Motorsport Australia’s Women’s Introduction to Motorsport and FIA Girls on Track programs. Alongside her 2025 Motorkhana Championship, East-Johnston represented Australia at the FIA Asia-Pacific Motorsport Championship in Sri Lanka, where she claimed gold in the Female Solo Auto Gymkhana.

Fresh off his maiden Supercars Championship, Chaz Mostert was awarded the Peter Brock Medal in recognition of his phenomenal achievements in circuit racing. Launched in 2011, the Peter Brock Medal is awarded annually to a driver who has shown similar characteristics to the late Peter Brock AM. The award recognises outstanding driver ability and commitment to the positive endorsement of motorsport within the greater community.
The criteria for the Peter Brock Medal includes outstanding driver ability whilst displaying a fair and sportsperson like attitude, respect for authority, the ability to support, encourage and motivate their peers, and a willingness and capacity to promote the sport within the wider community.
Emerging World Rally Championship star Taylor Gill was awarded his first Sir Jack Brabham award, in recognition of his success in 2025. Recognising the achievements of Sir Jack Brabham OBE, the outstanding Australian engineer and driver who rose to the pinnacle of world motorsport, this award recognises outstanding achievement and success by an Australian motorsport competitor at the international level.
Jensen Marold was awarded the 2025 Young Driver of the Year, with Marold exhibiting brilliance in the Western Australian Formula Ford Championship, and has also excelled nationally in the AU4 Championship’s Gen1 class.
Indyanna Pye was recognised with the FIA Girls on Track High Achiever Award, demonstrating remarkable initiative, professionalism, and adaptability over several years. Indyanna has been a self-starter, taking the initiative to work across officials roles at Supercars, SpeedSeries, and World Time Attack events.

Several members of Australia’s motorsport media were also recognised for their role in bringing the sport to fans around the country.
Named as Journalist of the Year for the second time was Speedcafe.com’s Stefan Bartholomaeus. His last win in the category came in 2015, maintaining his position as one of the top journalists in the industry.
Brock Baldwin received the Photograph of the Year Award, and Levi Erb was named Photographer of the Year.
The Best Use of Digital Media Award went to Sean Lander, for producing, capturing, directing, and editing the documentary ‘Drive Like A Girl’, which provided a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the career of Australian motorsport star Molly Taylor.
