The Shannons SpeedSeries will make its way to Mount Panorama next year, as part of its newly released calendar announcement for 2027.
SRO Motorsports Australia, promoter of the Shannons SpeedSeries, confirmed a
landmark deal to bring a new event to the world-famous Mount Panorama circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales.
SRO Motorsport Australia CEO Ben McMellan stated the Bathurst announcement will elevate the season in its entirety for 2027 following the calendar’s provisional release.
“Historically, racing at Bathurst has been a highly exclusive opportunity,” McMellan said.
“Securing a dedicated weekend to showcase the GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS and Monochrome GT4 Australia, alongside other Shannons SpeedSeries categories, is a massive victory for our competitors and the Bathurst community alike.
“We extend our gratitude to the Bathurst Regional Council for granting SRO Motorsports Australia the opportunity to host our season finale at Mount Panorama. We look forward to writing a new chapter in the mountain’s rich motorsport history.”
The new Bathurst round, to take place next year in October, will conclude the 2027 Shannons SpeedSeries calendar, adding Australia’s most iconic racing circuit to the five-round tour. The event will mark the first time since 2024 that the Mount Panorama circuit will host a fifth
motorsport event.
The fifth and final event of the SpeedSeries campaign will feature Australia’s premier GT categories, GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS and Monochrome GT4 Australia, both of which also announced their provisional calendars as part of the SRO Motorsports global calendar reveal at the upcoming 2026 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.
