The 2026 LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Darwin delivered a fun-filled weekend of racing at Hidden Valley Raceway as the Shannons SpeedSeries made its long-awaited debut in the Northern Territory.
Across two action-packed days, GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS, Monochrome GT4 Australia, Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia and the Territory Tourers produced memorable racing moments in front of enthusiastic Darwin fans.
Saturday saw Mark Rosser and Alex Peroni open the GT World Challenge Australia weekend with a commanding victory for Team BRM after avoiding early drama, while Paul Stokell and Matthew Stoupas secured Trophy Class honours.
Monochrome GT4 Australia also made history with its debut race at Hidden Valley, where Will Exton and Jack Johnson claimed a maiden Silver Cup victory for Team Soutar Motorsport.
Local favourite Bryce Fullwood delighted the home crowd by winning on debut in the Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia, while Ross Salmon claimed Territory Tourers honours in an entertaining opening race.
Sunday provided an equally exciting finale as championship battles intensified.
Broc Feeney and Brad Schumacher returned to the top step in GT World Challenge Australia after Schumacher produced a strong closing stint to secure victory for Kelso Electrical Team MPC, while Josh Buchan and Cameron Campbell celebrated their first podium of the season. Luke Youlden and Paul Stokell added another Trophy Class victory.
Tom Hayman and Jett Murray strengthened their Monochrome GT4 Australia Silver Cup title challenge with a dominant third win of the year, while Cody Burcher and Dean Campbell claimed Silver-Am honours and Glenn Walker continued his impressive Am Cup campaign.
Fullwood completed the perfect weekend by sweeping both Mustang Cup races in front of his Northern Territory supporters, capping a dream debut in the category.
In the Territory Tourers, Steve Johnstone proved unbeatable on Sunday, taking victory in both races aboard his VP Commodore to complete a memorable performance for the local favourite.
The successful Darwin event showcased a taste of what is to come before the Shannons SpeedSeries takes over Sydney Motorsport Park from 18-20 September.
