Close to 30 events kick off August activity, with an impressive variety of motorsport available to the general public and competitors.
The nation’s capital will resume its motorsport presence this weekend with the latest Southern District Motorsports Association hillclimb event scheduled for Sunday at Fairbairn Park.
A pair of dirt-based events are on the cards in the Northern Territory. The North Australian Motor Sports Club will host the 2026 CIVscapes Rejex Classic Rally throughout the Darwin, Pine Creek and Bachelor regions of the territory. Coupled alongside it will be the Thinkwater Red Centre 450, an off road event hosted by the Alice Springs Off Road Race Club at Mount Ooraminna.
A relatively quiet weekend in Victoria with just two motorsport competition events lined up this week. The Holden Sporting Car Club of Victoria is listed as the hosting club for a motorkhana event at Geelong Motor Sports Complex, while the Shepparton & District Car Club hosts a khanacross event in Mooroopna.
A pair of large events headline a busy motorsport weekend for Tasmania. The Hobart Sporting Car Club’s Symmons Plains 6 Hour returns to Symmons Plains Raceway this Sunday, while the Motor Sports Club of Tasmania prepares to welcome participants to the Raceway’s concrete pad for a Driftkhana/Come & Try Day event on the Saturday.
New South Wales and Queensland will combine for 15 events this weekend, accounting for half the total events this week.
Clubs to host events in Queensland range from Warick District Sporting Car Club, to Proston Car Rally Club, to Millmerran Auto Club. For New South Wales, Barrier Sporting Car Club, MG Car Club (Newcastle) and BMW Drivers Club NSW are just some of the host clubs lined up for this weekend.
Western Australia will run the Repco Supercars Championship over three days at MotorMall Wanneroo Raceway for the Bosch Perth Super 440.
