Criteria

Deserving nominees of this award must have demonstrated:      

  • Diligent service to the sport
  • Involvement in motorsport activities on a continual basis
  • A high level of dedication to the sport over a long period of time                                           

Eligibility 

  • A State Council or other party may nominate a candidate for a Service Award
  • The Service Award will not be awarded to a serving Director of Motorsport Australia
  • Must be a Motorsport Australia member                        

The Service Star is given to a member who has given exemplary service to Motorsport Australia and to motorsport, usually over many years and often in a variety of roles and activities. It stands above the Service Award and may be a further recognition for a member who holds a Service Award.                                  

Criteria 

Deserving nominees of this award must have demonstrated:       

  • Dedicated service to the sport over a prolonged period
  • Prolonged service across a number of roles and duties
  • Service which exceeds that recognised by the Motorsport Australia Service Award                                

Eligibility 

  • A person who has already received a Service Award and has continued to serve motorsport at state, national or international level in a manner which would justify them being awarded a second Service Award, is eligible for a Service Star
  • The Service Star will not be awarded to a serving Director of Motorsport Australia       
  • Must be a Motorsport Australia member

Information

  • To recognise the most outstanding Motorsport Australia event held throughout the calendar year
  • All applications and nominations will be assessed and voted on by the State Council Executive

  • Social events will not be taken into consideration for this award

    • Participants or officials satisfied at a well-run, friendly and enjoyable event (feedback received or conveyed back to Motorsport Australia)

This award recognises outstanding achievement by a motorsport official at Motorsport Australia authorised events, or within a Motorsport Australia affiliated club or activity usually at state and/or club level.

  • Officiating at state and/or club level
  • State Motorsport Official of the Year Awards will ordinarily be made to those who give their time voluntarily and serve the sport in an honorary capacity
  • This requirement does not exclude those who are employed in motorsport and serve it in a different capacity as a volunteer; nor does it exclude persons who receive a nominal honorarium or who are in receipt of out of pocket expenses
  • The State Motorsport Official of the Year Award will not be made to a serving Director of Motorsport Australia
  • The award need not be the result of activity in the year of nomination
  • This award is open to all Motorsport Australia authorised motorsport disciplines, licence categories and grades

The Motorsport Australia State Future Star Award recognises a young driver who has achieved outstanding competition results and/or is already competing in a National Championship.

  • The judging panel, whose decisions will be final, shall be the members of the State Council Executive
  • The Motorsport Australia Future Star will be promoted by Motorsport Australia to members and member clubs through State Council information

Selection Criteria

  • Must have achieved outstanding competition results or already be competing in a national championship
  • Must be able to demonstrate a professional approach to motorsport
  • Eligible competitors shall be from any Motorsport Australia motorsport discipline
  • Must be aged not more than 21 years of age as of 1 January of the nominated year.
  • Must not be a previous recipient of this award
  • Nominee must be a member of a Motorsport Australia Affiliated Car Club
  • Nomination can be made by any person

Information

Awarded to a New South Wales or Australian Capital Territory driver, past or present, who has shown their outstanding driving ability over multiple motorsport disciplines.

  • Nominations can be made by any person

  • The judging panel, whose decision is final, shall be members of the State Council Executive

  • Competed in at least two motorsport disciplines
  • Proven successful results in events over multiple motorsport disciplines and multiple levels of sport (State and National)

This award recognises a major contribution to motorsport made by a female event organiser, a competitor or an official who has attained a significant achievement in New South Wales or Australian Capital Territory motorsport past or present.

This award recognises a major contribution to motorsport made by a volunteer/club administrator in New South Wales or Australian Capital Territory past or present.

Awarded to recognise the success of a New South Wales or Australian Capital Territory circuit driver during the current calendar year.

  • A person that shows an outstanding contribution to motorsport in Queensland over a short or extended period of time.

  • Recognises a notable activity or achievement by a Queensland Club in that calendar year.

  • One winner, based on these criteria, will be determined by the Tasmanian Rally Panel and forwarded to the Tasmanian State Council Executive for endorsement.

  • To be based on; dedication, skill, attitude, peer recognition, knowledge and achievements in motorsport.

Awarded to a current Tasmanian motorsport administrator who has demonstrated exceptional achievement over the past year, consistently performing above and beyond expectations.

  • Nominations can be made by any person
  • The judging panel, whose decision is final, shall be members of the State Council Executive

  • Current Motorsport Administrator
  • Tasmanian based

Awarded to a current Tasmanian Competitor who displayed determination to succeed, often against adversity and particularly with limited resources from the current ranks of competitors.

Awarded to a current Tasmanian Circuit Racer.

This trophy was generously provided by local circuit racing stalwarts, Ivy and the late Rob McDonald. First awarded in 1979, the trophy was established to recognise the outstanding performance and contribution of a Tasmanian-based circuit racer each year.

  • A high level of dedication to the sport over a long period of time

Eligibility 

  • A State Council or other party may nominate a candidate for a Service Award
  • The Service Award will not be awarded to a serving Director of Motorsport Australia
  • Must be a Motorsport Australia member

The Service Star is given to a member who has given exemplary service to Motorsport Australia and to motorsport, usually over many years and often in a variety of roles and activities. It stands above the Service Award and may be a further recognition for a member who holds a Service Award.                                  

Criteria 

Deserving nominees of this award must have demonstrated:       

  • Dedicated service to the sport over a prolonged period
  • Prolonged service across a number of roles and duties
  • Service which exceeds that recognised by the Motorsport Australia Service Award                                

Eligibility 

  • A person who has already received a Service Award and has continued to serve motorsport at state, national or international level in a manner which would justify them being awarded a second Service Award, is eligible for a Service Star
  • The Service Star will not be awarded to a serving Director of Motorsport Australia       
  • Must be a Motorsport Australia member

  • To recognise the most outstanding Motorsport Australia event held throughout the calendar year
  • All applications and nominations will be assessed and voted on by the State Council Executive
  • Open to all Motorsport Australia Affiliated Car Clubs

  • Social events will not be taken into consideration for this award
  • The winning event will be selected on its ability to cater for its entrants, interact with the community and progress smoothly with the points below being considered: (please provide evidence and details of someone who can be contacted to confirm the event details).
    • Participants or officials satisfied at a well-run, friendly and enjoyable event (feedback received or conveyed back to Motorsport Australia)
    • Event scheduling and running to time
    • Event day operation ran smoothly and as planned, but any changes were documented and well conveyed

This award recognises outstanding achievement by a motorsport official at Motorsport Australia authorised events, or within a Motorsport Australia affiliated club or activity usually at state and/or club level.                          

Criteria     

Deserving nominees of this award must have demonstrated:       

  • Dedication to their role
  • Skills and knowledge in their chosen field
  • A positive attitude
  • Respected and highly regarded by their peers                             

Eligibility 

  • Officiating at state and/or club level
  • State Motorsport Official of the Year Awards will ordinarily be made to those who give their time voluntarily and serve the sport in an honorary capacity
  • This requirement does not exclude those who are employed in motorsport and serve it in a different capacity as a volunteer; nor does it exclude persons who receive a nominal honorarium or who are in receipt of out of pocket expenses
  • The State Motorsport Official of the Year Award will not be made to a serving Director of Motorsport Australia
  • The award need not be the result of activity in the year of nomination
  • This award is open to all Motorsport Australia authorised motorsport disciplines, licence categories and grades
  • Nominee must be a Motorsport Australia member or member of a Motorsport Australia Affiliated Car Club

  • Dedication to learning skills and knowledge in their chosen field
  • A positive attitude
  • Demonstrate respect, courtesy, honesty and integrity as a Motorsport Australia Official.

  • Nominee must hold a current Motorsport Australia licence and actively be involved as an Official.
  • Must be between 12 and 18 years of age and not a previous recipient of this award.
  • The judging panel, whose decisions is final, shall be members of the State Council Executive.

The Motorsport Australia State Future Star Award recognises a young driver who has achieved outstanding competition results and/or is already competing in a National Championship.

  • Nominations to be made on this nomination form (with supporting information attached, if required)
  • The judging panel, whose decisions will be final, shall be the members of the State Council Executive
  • The Motorsport Australia Future Star will be promoted by Motorsport Australia to members and member clubs through State Council information

Selection Criteria

  • Must have achieved outstanding competition results or already be competing in a national championship
  • Must be able to demonstrate a professional approach to motorsport
  • Eligible competitors shall be from any Motorsport Australia motorsport discipline
  • Must be aged not more than 21 years of age as of 1 January of the nominated year.
  • Must not be a previous recipient of this award
  • Nominee must be a member of a Motorsport Australia Affiliated Car Club
  • Nomination can be made by any person
