A number of National Commissions have been delegated power by the Board of Motorsport Australia to plan and administer specific disciplines or functions of the organisation. Commissions, in general, have executive authority and responsibility over areas that affect only their discipline or function.
Commissions play an extremely important role for Motorsport Australia as the National Sporting Authority (ASN) for motorsport in Australia as delegated by the Federation Internationale de’l Automobile (FIA). As direct delegates of the Motorsport Australia Board, Commissions are entrusted with the responsibility of providing high level strategic support to the Motorsport Australia administration.
