About the Role
The Motorsport Technical Executive is the initial point of contact for technical matters relating to competition automobiles. You will manage technical enquiries and applications, coordinate technical documentation, contribute to technical information and training resources, and support the development of scrutineering processes. You will also coordinate the Technical Working Groups and assist with the administration of vehicle registrations, homologations and safety-related documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Manage technical enquiries and provide timely, accurate responses to members and stakeholders.
• Manage technical applications, including homologations, certificates and vehicle registrations.
• Coordinate and maintain technical and vehicle-specific documentation.
• Coordinate periodic review of technical regulations.
• Act as Executive Officer for the Technical Working Groups (Rally & Off Road) and follow up on actions and outcomes.
• Develop training materials and support scrutineering processes for Officials.
• Provide technical support at occasional motorsport events, including after-hours and weekends.
About You
You are a motorsport professional with broad industry knowledge and a relevant technical, trade or engineering qualification. You bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organisation and administration abilities, and a customer-focused approach. You are proactive, results-oriented and comfortable working independently while contributing effectively to a team.
You will have strong Microsoft Office skills and the flexibility to provide occasional after-hours and weekend support. Experience in CAD or design software, practical engineering or automotive/motorsport work, or CRM systems will be highly regarded.

This role is based at our office in Canterbury, Melbourne, with flexibility to work some hours from home. The role may require occasional travel to events and requires some after-hours and weekend work.

About the Board Opportunity
Motorsport Australia is seeking to appoint a new director from 1 January 2027. The Board is responsible for governance, including oversight of strategy and organisational performance, risk, financial sustainability and compliance, and for acting in the best interests of the organisation and the sport as a whole. The successful candidate will contribute their judgement, experience and perspective to the collective work of the Board and its committees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and oversight of Motorsport Australia’s strategic direction and long-term sustainability.
- Act in the best interests of Motorsport Australia and its members, exercising sound judgement and decision-making.
- Participate actively in Board meetings, strategic discussions and Board committees as required.
- Provide governance oversight of organisational performance, risk management, financial stewardship and regulatory compliance.
- Help shape policy and initiatives that support the growth, integrity and sustainability of motorsport in Australia.
- Monitor organisational performance against strategic objectives and key performance measures.
- Promote strong governance practices, ethical conduct and a culture of integrity throughout the organisation.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with members, volunteers, clubs, officials, competitors, commercial partners and key stakeholders.
- Serve as an ambassador for Motorsport Australia.
About You
We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in board, governance or senior executive leadership roles, together with the ability to think strategically and contribute effectively to a high-performing board.
You will possess sound judgement, integrity, and the ability to constructively contribute to robust board discussions while supporting collective decision-making.
You will have either, or a combination of, the following experience:
- Significant high-performance motorsport experience, gained either as an elite competitor or through senior leadership, executive or governance roles within a professional motorsport team, category, circuit, series or governing body. Experience across any motorsport discipline is welcomed.
- The ability to discharge the duties and responsibilities of a director, with contemporary experience and understanding of the governance, commercial and risk aspects of digital delivery of customer services in either a business or sporting context. Experience in customer relationship marketing and customer experience/user experience (CX/UX) would be valued for the perspective it brings to Board consideration of how Motorsport Australia serves and engages with its members, participants, customers and stakeholders.
You will also have completed, or be prepared to complete, the AICD Company Directors Course (or equivalent) and have the capacity and commitment to dedicate the time and energy required for the role.

About the Role
The National Business Executive is responsible for driving commercial growth, increasing participation opportunities, and building strong relationships across clubs, venues, promoters, and commercial partners. Working nationally, the role supports business development initiatives, develops revenue-generating programs, strengthens motorsport pathways, and enhances the delivery and promotion of Motorsport Australia products and events. The position plays a key role in growing participation, supporting stakeholders, and identifying new opportunities to expand motorsport activity across Australia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain commercial partnerships to grow motorsport activity and revenue.
- Support and optimise state championship programs, including promotion, sponsorship, branding, and event formats.
- Build and manage relationships with clubs, venues, promoters, and commercial operators.
- Identify emerging industry trends and create opportunities to increase participation and commercial outcomes.
- Promote Motorsport Australia programs, products, and participation pathways.
- Support strategic initiatives, stakeholder forums, and the implementation of national participation programs.

About You
You are an experienced business development professional with a strong understanding of motorsport and a proven ability to build productive stakeholder relationships. A confident communicator and networker, you can influence outcomes, negotiate effectively, and deliver exceptional customer service. You are highly organised, commercially focused, experienced in managing budgets and programs, and motivated to work autonomously. Experience in sport, recreation or leisure participation programs is essential, while qualifications in sports management, event delivery experience, and CRM knowledge will be highly regarded.
