The CAMS Australian Rally Championship national entry list for Kennards Hire Rally Australia has been confirmed, with 27 vehicles to hit the Coffs Coast later this month.
The entry list follows the recent announcement of the World Rally Championship’s entry list with six ARC drivers cross-entered in the ARC and WRC.
On the list of dual competitors is current ARC leader, Eli Evans, with the Skoda Fabia R5 pilot and fellow title contenders Harry Bates and Steve Glenney.
Young gun Lewis Bates and returning Queenslander Wayne Morton will also be flying the Australian flag on the world stage alongside new entrant Tony Sullens, who will be behind the wheel of the Citroen DSR R3.
Headlining the list of ARC-only competitors are 2016 champion Molly Taylor and first-year competitor Luke Anear.
A host of local talent will be joining the pair for their first appearances in the 2018 championship, including Michael Heuchan, Lindsay , Peter Dunn and Justin Hatton.
Hatton will be looking for a strong performance at the Coffs Coast following a heartbreaking end to his 2018 MTA NSW Rally Championship, where he saw his title hopes ruined after a breakdown on the first stage of the season finale.
The ARC2 list has also been confirmed following an announcement last month with Andrew Penney, Kevin Raedel and Ben Hayes joining regulars Haowen Chu and Adam Kaplan in what will be an entertaining battle for the ARC’s second tier title.
The other categories to confirm their entry list are the R6 Digital Cup and the Classic Cup, with both having five competing crews.
In the R6 Digital Cup, New South Welshmen Mal , Jack Monkhol, Glynn Elliot and Bruce McDougall are be joined by Gerrard McConkey who will be making the trip from Queensland.
McConkey’s fellow statesmen dominate the Classic Cup field, with four Queenslanders and one New South Welshman in Mark Beard making up the grid.
Queenslanders Ed Mulligan, Keith Fackrell Mark Casper will also welcome invitational competitor Tony Quinn who will be driving his BMW E30 alongside CAMS South Australian Rally Champion co-driver Kate Catford.
