January is set to kick off a huge year in Australian motor sport with one of the biggest races of the year taking place at the end of first month of the year.

2019 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour

Where: Mount Panorama, Bathurst, New South Wales.

One of the biggest events kicks off at the end of the month as up to 50 teams battle it out on Australia’s most iconic circuit for an intense 12 hours, in what is one of the most prestigious GT events in the world.

Beginning on Thursday 31 January, the four day Mount Panorama event hosts a variety of special Australian support categories such as Sports Sedans, Group S and Radical Racing before holding the big 12 hour race.

Behind the wheel of the WRT Audi, Robin Frijns, Stuart Leonard and Dries Vanthoor took out the 2018 event after a huge crash saw them take advantage – one they never let go.

With both camping and grandstand options available for fans, tickets for the prestigious event can be purchased here from $20.

2019 CAMS Victorian Hill Climb Championship Round 1
When: Sunday 20 January, 2019
Where: Rob Roy Hillclimb, Victoria.

The CAMS Victorian Hill Climb Championship kicks off for another year with one of Australia’s most coveted hill climb circuits hosting the Championship’s opening round.

Following a huge 2018 for the circuit, the Rob Roy Hill Climb will have another chance to show off its beauty after replacing Eastern Park as the season opener.

Last year it was Michael Barker in the Hayward who took out top honours for the round, breaking Garry Martin’s stronghold at the circuit over the competition, although it would be Martin who had the last laugh, eventually claiming the state title later in the year.

Interested participants have until Monday 14 January to enter the event.
