Tasmanian Circuit Racing Championship
When: 24 February
Where: Symmons Plains Raceway

The MG Car Club of Tasmania will put on its first major circuit round for 2019 with Symmons Plains Raceway to host the one-day event.

The popular Hyundai Excels will be headlining the eight categories which includes a host of CAMS staples such as HQ Holdens, Formula Vees and Historic Touring Cars. The Tasmanian Sports GT will also form part of the action packed line up.

The event will be the first of three rounds at Symmons Plains, while Baskerville Raceway will be hosting the remaining three events in the six round Championship.

With lots of entertainment taking place both on and off the track, car enthusiasts are encouraged to head down to the Symmons Plains for a great day out.

2019 Rallye Des Femmes
When: Saturday 23 February
Where: Tidbinbilla Forests, ACT

The Brindabella Motor Sport Club’s Rallye Des Femmes is back for another year as drivers from around the state take on the beautiful Tidbinbilla forests in Canberra.

The event’s main purpose is to increase female participation within the discipline and is effectively a female-only rally event with 9 crews set to battle it out for top honours.

While the female field includes some CAMS Australian Rally Championship (ARC) talent such as Peter Dunn co-driving for his wife Katrina, a further six crews will form a non-competitive event, the Tidbinbilla thrilla, which ARC regular Lewis Bates will headline, as he looks to trial his new Yaris.

Admission for the event is free for spectators.

Dion Barnett Memorial Hillclimb
When: Sunday, 24 February
Where:
Cooperabung Hillclimb Track, New South Wales

There aren’t as many beautiful hill climbs as the Cooperabung Hillclimb Track and this weekend, the Dion Barnett Memorial Hillclimb will take centre stage there as one of the main hill climbs around the country this weekend.

Run by the Kempsey Sporting Car Club, last year saw more than 30 drivers take on the picturesque hill climb as Darren Read and his Hayward 09 dominated the event to win by over four seconds.

The event at the popular hill climb is part of a special Tri series run by the club and is set to attract a similar amount of competitors as previous years.
