CAMS Victorian State Circuit Racing Championship Round 1
When: 1-3 March
Where: Sandown International Raceway

More than 240 drivers have confirmed their entry in this weekend’s CAMS Victorian State Circuit Racing Championship at the iconic Sandown Raceway.

Hosted by the MG Car Club of Victoria, it will be a huge start to the state’s circuit season as 18 categories hit the track including fan favourites HQ Holdens, Improved Productions and the Hyundai Excel Series.

Most of the category’s champions will also be returning to the track to begin their title defence after receiving their silverware at the CAMS State awards in earlier this month.

A variety of off track entertainment will be available to attending spectators with adult admission costing $30 for a weekend pass, while kids under the age of 16 get in for free.

Rod Hatter Memorial Perenjori 360
When: 2 – 3 March
Where: Perenjori

The country’s first major state off road event for this year takes place in Penjori for the opening round of the Carnarvon Motel CAMS Western Australian Off Road Racing Championship.

Last year saw Harleigh Uren take out the 2018 Rod Hatter Memorial Perenjori 360 after beating out Pro Buggy pilots Bradley Cooper and Peter Barrett and fellow Extreme 2WD rivals Colin and Peter Doney, while 2018 outright champions Jarred Percival and Darryn Beckett finished just outside the top three.

With Uren absent from the event, the remaining top four drivers will be back again and in the running to take out the opening round, but they will also be competing against a further 35 other crews in what is expected to be one of the biggest state off road events for the year.

Prologue will begin at 10am on Saturday morning before the first of three sections occupies the remainder of Saturday’s competition. On Sunday, the final two sections will start from 8:00am,
