The CAMS Western Australia Speed Event Series held an action-packed double round of Sprints with Dallara F3 driver Cosi Sorgiovanni claiming top honours on both days of competition.
It was brilliant performance from Sorgiovanni who dominated the first day of action beating 50 drivers at the Collie Motorplex.
Only needing three laps to post his winning lap time of 45.8742 seconds, Sorgiovanni continued to press hard for another 16 seconds but was unable to beat his own time.
Finishing the day in second place a further second and a half behind was Marcel Every, the Mazda West pilot sneaking past Brad Scrivener on his 11th lap of the session to finish three tenths of a second ahead of him.
Less than one second separated Scrivener and eventual fifth placed Stephen Dougherty as Ray Ferrari finished the day between the two to seal fourth place.

On the second day of action, Sorgiovanni continued his brilliant form to secure a second consecutive round win, only this time the victory was not as straightforward.
With 45 competitors all vying to beat the previous day’s winner, only one driver stepped up to the occasion to compete with Sorgiovanni as the rest of the pack finished a further five seconds or more behind the winner.
Behind the wheel of an OMS, Peter Morley put pressure on Sorgiovanni all day, eventually recording the time of 43.2263 seconds on his seventh lap to take the temporary lead over his rival.

Following his brilliant lap, Morley had done all he could for the day and could only sit back and watch as Sorgiovanni eventually beat his time by the smallest of margins just three laps later, the Dallara pilot crossing the line less than one hundredth of a second ahead of Morley.
Finishing on the bottom step of the day’s podium was Marcel Every who sealed third place by four tenths of a second over Neil Herbert, while Rhyan Shapkaris rounded out the top five.
The CAMS Western Australia Speed Event Series next round takes place in Busselton for the Busselton Sprint on 6 April.
