The Netier National Capital Rally will remain on the CAMS Australian Rally Championship calendar for at least another three years, with key commercial partners confirming their ongoing support for the event.

Naming rights partner Netier has confirmed its support for the rally for the next three years, while Abode Hotels is also locked in for the same period, until 2022.

The two Canberra based businesses support of the event highlights the growing stature of the event as a staple on the Australian Capital Territory events calendar.

Netier Managing Director Gordon Hayes was delighted to confirm the IT company’s support.

“Netier are proud to be naming rights sponsors for the third year in a row of the Netier National Capital Rally,” Hayes said.

“The event continues to grow and will be even bigger and better in 2020. We are also absolutely thrilled to announce that Netier have committed to supporting the event for a further three years, highlighting the event’s ongoing success.”

Abode Hotels, who joined as an event partner for the successful 2019 rally, also provided a temporary home for competitors, officials and spectators – as well as hosting Rally Headquarters at its Woden hotel. The service park was located directly outside the hotel in 2019, and organisers have confirmed the service park will once again be set up in the same Woden location in 2020.

Iconic Hotels general manager Rien Donkin was pleased to align Abode Hotels with the rally again in 2020 and beyond.

“Supporting events which bring vibrancy and visitors to Canberra is important to Abode Hotels,” Donkin said.

“Community engagement and industry support is key to the continued growth of the events like the Netier National Capital Rally. Abode Hotels is proud to align with the ACT Government and Brindabella Motorsport Club in support of the event, and we look forward to a successful rally for competitors and spectators.”

Brindabella Motorsport Club organise the Netier National Capital Rally with commercial support form Innate Motorsport & Events.

Clerk of Course Adrian Dudok praised IME for their efforts in extending these commercial partnerships as it highlighted the region’s support of the rally.

“The extended commitment was a huge endorsement of the commercial benefits rallying provides to these sponsors, and their commitment to supporting sport in Canberra,” Dudok said.

CAMS Director of Motor Sport and Commercial Operations Michael Smith also praised the event’s success.

“The Netier National Capital Rally is a terrific event which brings in many visitors to the region for what is a popular round of the CAMS Australian Rally Championship,” Smith said.

“The news of this extended support is fantastic for our sport and ensures Canberra will remain on the ARC calendar until at least 2022.”
