NGK Spark Plugs 2019 CAMS Australian Motorkhana Championship

When: 4-5 October

Where: Huntly Livestock Exchange

The second Speed and Auto Test Championship for 2019 kicks off this weekend with the best Motorkhana drivers from around the country heading to Victoria for the chance to be crowned Australian champion.

Headlining the healthy 54-car field is reigning champion Corrine East-Johnston and the three-time winner is back to defend her championship against long time rival and four time champion Scott Bennett, as well as last year’s runner-up Aaron Wuillemin.

Competitors will undergo between four and 12 tests throughout the day, including the crossover and Slalom tests with the outright winner to be decided based on the lowest accumulated total time across all tests.

The action gets underway at 9am with entry free to all spectators.

CAMS Club Challenge – Queensland

When: 5 October
Where: Mt Cotton Hill Climb

The second last Club Challenge for the year takes place at the popular Mount Cotton Hill Climb as clubs from around the state battle it out for a special financial prize.

Hosted by the MG Car Club of Queensland, a number of teams made up of three to five members will compete in the hopes of beating defending champions Holden Sporting Car Club who are hoping to add another piece of silverware to their trophy cabinet.

Each driver gets multiple runs at the circuit with their best lap time contributing to their team scores. The team with the lowest total score takes out the top prize with the free action taking place all day.
