The carsales TCR Australia Series has been handed a major boost ahead of the 2020 season with the potential inclusion of the Kia Cee’d TCR car for its second season. 

The announcement comes off the back of New Zealand based Choice Performance Ltd being named as the official agent for Stohl Advanced Research and Development (STARD), the official manufacturer of the car. 

Currently in discussions with potential drivers to compete in 2020, the company intend to support cars in each series through both customer ownership and lease packages, with Choice Performance’s Chris Little excited for the opportunity. 

“Having recently returned from visiting Manfred and his team in Vienna I am exceptionally excited for this opportunity,” Little said.

“The development of the Kia Cee’d TCR is world class and a real credit to STARD. 

“We are confident of achieving strong results in the New Zealand and Australian championship with the Kia Cee’d TCR and look forward to fostering our strong relationship with STARD who are exceptionally customer friendly.”
