For the second time this year, Dare To Be Different (D2BD) participants have enjoyed a special behind the scenes insight into a Virgin Australia Supercars Championship team with Triple Eight Race Engineering hosting the next generation of motor sport stars.

Taking place at the team’s headquarters in Queensland, the young females from Eatons Hill College, St John Fisher College and Walloon State School were treated a tour around the facilities with Triple Eight’s Commercial Operations representative and D2BD ambassador Jessica Dane.

Dane wasn’t the only ambassador on hand during the program with Emma Notarfrancesco and Romy Mayer there to guide the young females through the D2BD activities, while Kumho Tyres Super3 driver Emily Duggan was the special guest for the day, giving a talk on her journey in motor sport.

All four females were guiding the participants through the regular activities, which included the pit stop and STEM challenges as well as media activities and livery designing.

The next Dare To Be Different program will be part of the Supercars 2019 finale, the Coates Hire Newcastle 500 on 21-22 November.
