Australian Nick Foster will have a busy end to 2019 with four more international events scheduled for the rest of year.

 

The campaign will follow successful stints in the Intercontinental GT Challenge with HubAuto Corsa and the Blancpain GT Series with Attempto Racing, which has seen Foster secure a race win and a number of podium placings.

 

Foster’s busy end to the year will start off with a drive for Toksport WRT alongside fellow Australian Martin Berry in the 24H of COTA, an event part of the CREVENTIC 24H Series, before heading to Vallelunga in Italy for the LMP3 series.

 

Following on from there, he will race in Shanghai with the Asian Le Mans Series where he will make his LMP2 debut as part of Eurasia Motorsport. Foster’s final race for the year will be the Gulf 12 Hours in Abu Dhabi with Attempto Racing.

 

“It's been a busy year so I had a little time off over the recent weeks, spent some time at home and refreshed the batteries and now have the chance to do some long-distance training for the endurance events ahead,” Foster explained.

 

“I have some new races ahead in differing types of cars and then back to some familiar territory that we have had success at.

 

“COTA with Toksport WRT will be good! I’m in the Mercedes, which is a new GT car for me with some familiar faces and old friends. I'll be looking forward to that as CREVENTIC races are always enjoyable.

 

“I think we're be competing for the podium in the Am class, so that's something to look forward to.”

 

Foster’s LMP2 debut in Shanghai will also be with a fellow countryman in Aidan Read, with the duo looking for a solid result in the opening round of the Asian Le Mans Series.

 

“I got to sample that car for the first time in August this year and it was awesome to be in a car with so much aero,” Foster added.

 

“It's been a while since I've been in a car with that much grip - Formula 3 in 2008 - so that was a great experience and I'm looking forward to getting back in the car. 

 

“It will be a steep learning curve, but it's a great challenge and I'm really looking forward to it.”

 

As for his final race of the year, Foster is just excited to race at one of his favourite events.

 

“We cap off the year with the 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi which is my third year in a row there,” Foster said.

 

“It's a great event, great place and people. I'll share the car with some good mates in Mattia Drudi and Murad Sultanov - who I'm racing P3 - with but we were fast there last year and we're looking for more of the same this year.

 

“It's a busy end to the year with some big races and new things as well - the last four races are going to be spectacular.”
