Preparations for the 2020 Motorsport Australia Rally Championship (ARC) are well underway with entries for the Netier National Capital Rally now open.

Based around the picturesque forests in Canberra, the Netier National Capital Rally will kick off the six-round ARC season, as well as act as a round of the MTA Motorsport Australia New South Wales Rally Championship, the East Coast Classic Rally Series and the Techworkz Automotive ACT Regional Rally Series.

Event organisers for the Netier National Capital have also pledged to donate $25 from every entry to a bushfire relief fund, following the disastrous bushfires that have plagued Australia this summer.

Following on from the success of last year’s rally, the Brindabella Motor Sport Club hosted event will once again run as a single-day sprint event with the majority of action taking place on Sunday 22 March, while the fan-friendly ceremonial start and super special stages will take place on the Saturday afternoon prior.

New in 2020, crews will tackle two super special stages at Kowen Rally Village from 5:30pm local time on Saturday before completing 130 competitive kilometres across 10 stages on the Sunday, with the first ARC car to begin at 7:30am AEST.

In a major boost for the Canberra rally, both naming rights partner Netier and accommodation partner Abode Hotels recently signed three-year extensions meaning Rally Headquarters will once again be located at the Woden-based hotel.

The event’s service park will be located across the road from the Abode Woden on Bowes Street with crews first able to access the service park on Saturday 21 March at 9am local time.
