Stars align for Supercars celebrity race

A number of big names have been announced for Supercars' special celebrity race.
The Virgin Australia Supercars Championship has announced a plethora of big names confirmed to do battle in a special celebrity race later this month.
Taking place on Monday 18 May, the Supercars Celebrity Eseries race will feature a range of Australian and international sporting personalities, both from within and outside the motorsport world.
Some of the big headliners representing motorsport will include five-time Moto GP legend Mick Doohan, 2019 Dakar Rally winner Toby Price, Australian Rally champion Scott Pedder and SuperX Champion Dan Reardon.
It’s not just drivers who will make part of the grid with McLaren Racing CEO and Walkinshaw Andretti United co-owner Zak Brown and Supercars team owners and principals Ryan Story, Brad Jones and Barry Ryan all to represent the paddock crews in the race.
Outside of the motorsport, other sporting code celebrities already confirmed to compete are AFL stars Jack Riewoldt and Jarmen Impey, former Australian cricketers Brad Hodge and Peter Siddle, the A-League’s Daniel Bowles, NRL legend Nathan Hindmarsh and All Black Angus Ta’avao.
More celebrities taking part will be revealed in the coming days.
The race will be broadcast live via Fox Sports 506, Supercars’ Facebook, Twitch and YouTube pages from 7pm AEST on Monday 18 May.
