Spanning seven of the eight Australian states and territories, as well as making the journey across the Tasman to New Zealand, the Championship will run between February and December.

Victoria and Queensland will host two events next year, while Supercars will head to New South Wales three times, two of which will be at the iconic Mount Panorama in Bathurst. 

Starting in February with one of the Bathurst rounds, the Championship will return to the iconic circuit for the Repco Bathurst 100 in its traditional time slot in the second weekend of October. 

The great race will once again run its four day format, with the only other four day event to be the round at next year’s Rolex Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in March. 

Tasmania, Western Australia, Northern Territory, South Australia and New Zealand will host one round each, all of which will be run as the SuperSprint format introduced in 2020, while the return of the ITM Auckland SuperSprint will mark 20 years since Supercars first went there. 

Queensland’s two rounds will both run at street circuits with Townsville to take place in July and the Gold Coast Street Circuit in Surfers Paradise to host the final round for the first time ever in December. 

Sydney Motorsport Park will be the third New South Wales destination with the circuit to utilise its new permanent lighting for the night sprint and Winton Raceway rounds out the calendar.

Supercars CEO Sean Seamer was confident next year’s calendar was a win for fans and viewers and was looking forward to a full season after a challenging 2020.

“It is important to us to ensure the 2021 calendar features as much certainty for fans as we can provide given the current COVID-19 restrictions in each state and territory,” Seamer said.

“We’re thrilled that next year we can deliver two events at Mount Panorama, including the season opener in February.

“We are still working with all government partners on fan limits for each event, but we are confident of strong crowd numbers across Australia and New Zealand, in line with the current loosening of COVID-19 restrictions.

“We think having three different event formats used in 2021 will build on what we’ve learned about our racing this year, so fans can look forward to thrilling weekends every time we race.”
