The 2021 FIA Motorsport Games is on track to take place in October.

The FIA Motorsport Games are on track to be held in France in October.

With an expanded number of disciplines part of the new-look 2021 Motorsport Games, there are a number of opportunities for competitors to represent their country across circuit racing, rallying, Esports and karting.

Motorsport Australia remains on hand to assist interested competitors with their entry for the Games and notes that the current state of ongoing travel restrictions and quarantine requirements will require competitors from Australia to move quickly if they wish to attend the event, as government approval will be required in order to leave Australia.

It is envisaged that whilst Team Australia’s capacity to field a team might be limited, the opportunity to represent the country is always a great incentive according to Motorsport Australia CEO Eugene Arocca.

“After a very successful first FIA Motorsport Games in 2019, where Team Australia finished equal second on the medal tally, it’s great to see the return of this program in 2021 in France. The chance to represent your country on any stage is always a great honour,” Arocca said.

“While we would love to be able to play a larger part in the Motorsport Games, the difficult nature of international travel in and out of Australia means it won’t be a straightforward process.

“Any European based Australians would be in a stronger position to compete, so we are certainly looking to our Aussies abroad to potentially make up part of our team.”

The 2021 FIA Motorsport Games take place at Circuit Paul Ricard in France on 29-31 October.
