Nash Morris will drive a Supercheap Auto backed Ford Mustang in the 2022 Turtle Wax Trans-Am Series.
Supercheap Auto will make its grand return to the track this year after the auto parts retailer confirmed a partnership with Nash Morris for his 2022 Turtle Wax Trans-Am Series campaign.

Morris, who made his debut in the series last year, will don the iconic red and yellow Supercheap Auto livery on his #67 Ford Mustang for the season, which begins this month at Symmons Plains Raceway.

It’s not the first time the leading Australian retailer will partner up with the Morris family with the two parties having had a long history together, after starting in 2008 when Supercheap Auto was the primary sponsor of Paul Morris Motorsport Supercars team.

Supercheap have since sponsored the team in multiple disciplines which included Sprintcar and Stadium Super Trucks.

Ahead of Nash’s first full season in the series, the young gun was thrilled to have the backing of the iconic brand.

“After watching dad race around with Supercheap Auto colours as a kid, it’s cool to see the brand now on my car," Nash said.

“Supercheap Auto have been long term supporters of dad and Norwell Motorplex and I can’t wait to get out there to continue the association.

“I love racing Trans-Am and my goal hasn’t changed, it’s to go out there and win.”

Supercheap Auto Sponsorship Manager Justin Murray was equally excited that the famous partnership would continue.

“We’re excited to be onboard with Nash ‘Flash’ Morris this year in the Turtle Wax Trans-Am Series,” Murray said.

“It’s great to extend our association into the next generation with Nash, a partnership with the Morris family that has been ongoing for the best part of 15 years.

“The bold red Supercheap Auto #67 won’t be missed on track and look forward to the journey ahead with Nash.”

In addition to the Turtle Wax Trans-Am Series, Supercheap Auto will have a prominent place in motorsport this year, after it signed a multi-year deal with Motorsport Australia as the official Auto Parts Partner.

The 2022 Turtle Wax Trans-Am Series season kicks off at Symmons Plains on 11-13 February.
