Friday 25 March, 2022
The Variety Aussie Muscle Car Run will be raising money for children.
A special tour with a good cause will begin in Adelaide on Friday morning with the Variety Aussie Muscle Car Run to raise funds for children in need.
Taking place across South Australia, 100 car enthusiasts from across the country will make a 1363km journey around the state in 50 classic muscle cars.
Attracting entrants from around the country, the cars on tour will feature iconic Bathurst vehicles built from the 1963-1977 era, including the Monaro, Torana, Charger and Falcon GT HOs.
Starting in Adelaide, the tour will finish in Glenelg on Friday 1 April, passing through the picturesque regions of Port Augusta and Clare, as well as Mallala Raceway and The Bend Motorsport Park.

With the goal of raising $250,000 across the week, the event will be run by Variety Children’s Charity and will be the fourth motorsport fundraiser managed by the organisation.
Other fundraisers include the Variety Bash, 4WD Adventure and Variety Moto Run.
Variety CEO Mark McGill was looking forward to a big week of muscle car fun after multiple delays.
“After lengthy COVID related delays we are thrilled to finally be able to get these beautiful muscle cars out of the garage and onto the road under the Variety banner,” McGill said.
“We welcome all our entrants into the Variety family and we know they are proud to play their part in enhancing the lives of children in need.”
Variety is a charity that assists children who are sick, disadvantaged or living with disability to overcome whatever obstacles they face through financial support.
In 2021, the charity supported more than 29,000 children and their families with 135 grants and a total of $2.85 million.
