Rally fans wanting to attend this weekend’s The Middle of Everywhere Gippsland Rally will have multiple opportunities to see the cars up close and in action.

With 13 stages making up the fifth round of the 2022 RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship (ARC) season, there will be five spectators points scheduled for the weekend.

On Saturday, fans will get the chance to see the cars zipping by on both passes of the Thomson stage, with the first pass to take place at 9:50am and the second 1:58pm AEST.

There will be three opportunities on Sunday with both passes of the Winkie Stage to be open to fans, with the first run to occur at 11:06am and the second at 12:58pm, while there will be a special spectator point on the EROAD Power Stage – where crews will be battling hard to get some extra bonus points.

The five stages won’t be the only time fans can see the cars, with the Heyfield Service Park in the Rally Village allowing the public to see the cars up close and personal on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Heyfield Service Park is also a great opportunity for fans to see teams’ mechanics working on the cars during the multiple service breaks throughout the round.

For fans wanting to meet the drivers before the event officially gets underway via the Ceremonial Start at the Service Park on Saturday morning at 9:30am, a special Meet and Greet will take place at 4:30pm on Friday afternoon at the Rally Village.

In addition to the Service, the Rally Village will be also be home to The Sonax Sim Challenge and a number of a food trucks.

While the Rally Village and all spectator points are free of charge, interested individuals wanting to attend the event are encouraged to pre-register their place so they don’t miss out.

With more than 1000 spectators expected to attend the event over the course of the weekend, Clerk of Course Andrew Roseman was thrilled with the interest in the event.

“It’s truly amazing to have so many people already registered and for how much interest there is – it is certainly building up to quite the spectacle,” Roseman said.

“We look like we’re going to have over 1000 people attending spectator points over the weekend, which means it’s going to be an awesome atmosphere.

“I believe we should have good weather for the event too, which is a massive bonus for everyone involved – we’re really looking forward to it.”

The Middle of Everywhere Gippsland Rally takes place in the east Victorian region of Heyfield on 26-28 August.
