The Adelaide Motorsport Festival takes place on 25-26 March
This year’s Adelaide Motorsport Festival continues to build momentum ahead of its highly anticipated return to the Victoria Park precinct in the South Australian capital.
The latest addition to the Festival line up will see a modern IndyCar hit the track as one of the highlights of this year’s Festival in March.
A 2011-spec Dallara IR-07 IndyCar that raced on the streets of the Gold Coast at the last ever Indy event at that circuit is the latest car confirmed for the 2023 edition.
The car is fitted with a 3.5-litre methanol-fuelled V8 Chevrolet that produces more than 675 horsepower and will be on track across the two days of the event, driven by Mathew Radisich. The New Zealander has raced in various Formula 3 and Formula Ford championships and is the nephew of Supercars race winner Paul Radisich.
The open-wheeler is just one of many famous cars taking part in the Festival and will appear alongside a pair of 1989 Brabham BT58s, as driven by Martin Brundle and Stefano Modena during the 1989 Formula 1 season, a 1988 Arrows A10B Megatron, as driven by Eddie Cheever during the 1988 Formula 1 season, and an Arrows Formula 1 three-seater car.
Taking place on 25-26 March, a number of other high profile cars and drivers will be in attendance, one week out from the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2023 at Albert Park.
Tickets for the event are available here.
