Tasmania is soon to be the centre of attention for national motorsport with two major events occurring in the state within a one-month period.
 
The new-look Shannons SpeedSeries begins later this month with the highly anticipated AWC Race Tasmania at Symmons Plains before next month’s Buckby ŠKODA Rally Launceston kicks off the 2023 Motorsport Australia Rally Championship (ARC) season in and around the forests of Launceston.
 
And Motorsport Australia is on the lookout for passionate motorsport fans to join either event or both as an official to help make these events shine on the national stage.
 
With all sorts of roles available for people who have all kinds of experience, there is plenty of offer for officials at events, such as camaraderie, good times and most importantly, a unique close-to-the-action viewing experience.
 
In what is its third edition, the AWC Race Tasmania is quickly establishing itself as the traditional season opener of the Shannons SpeedSeries.
 
During the three-day event, officials will have the greatest seat in the house as the stars of national categories like the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, S5000 Australian Drivers’ Championship and National Trans Am Series racing across the three days on the exciting Symmons Plains circuit.

Exactly one month later, a different kind of high-octane power will hit the shores of the Apple Isle where fans can enjoy the thrilling combination of rally cars on some of the most challenging gravel rally stages in Australia.
 
Launceston will welcome Australia’s best rally drivers to get the ARC season underway.
 
In addition to enjoying a weekend in the forest witnessing incredible driving skills in modern rally cars, officials will receive a number of goodies such as tote bags, hats and more.
