Polaris begins new off road chapter

Wednesday 01 March, 2023
Polaris will be the new naming rights partner for the AORC in 2023.
The Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship (AORC) is pleased to welcome Polaris Australia as its naming rights partner for the 2023 season.

To be known as the Polaris Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship, the championship gets underway later this month with the brand new Markwell Group Gold City 450 in Charters Towers.

A world leader in off-road innovation, Polaris is an international manufacturer considered the number one selling brand of SXS buggies in both Australia and New Zealand.

Engineered to handle the roughest terrain, Polaris’ industry-led products range from powersport buggies to commercial purpose-built transport vehicles to off-road utility buggies used by farmers, hunters and corporations across the globe.

Polaris has had a large presence in the Australian off road motorsport scene in recent years, having been the inaugural founding sponsor of the SXS Motorsport Australia Championship in 2015.

In light of the SXS Championship’s integration into the AORC last year, Polaris also joined the national championship as a partner.

230301_sxsNow, the popular off road performance brand will become AORC’s major sponsor for the five-round season and Polaris Australia & New Zealand Marketing Manager Kris Matich was pleased to strengthen the partnership.

“Polaris is Australia’s number one selling off road vehicle brand and as such there is a logical connection to align with the Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship,” Matich said.

“As the premier off road racing championship in Australia, we are pleased and proud to be associated with the AORC.

“We have watched the Championship evolve and grow in stature over recent years and we look forward to working with Motorsport Australia and the various event promoters to help make the 2023 season the best ever.

“We wish all competitors the very best for what should be a wonderful season ahead.”

Motorsport Australia Director of Motorsport and Commercial Operations Michael Smith was thrilled to have Polaris sign up as a major partner.

“To have Polaris not only continue its support of the AORC, but to increase its presence and commit as a major partner for the 2023 season is a boost for the Championship,” Smith said.

“On behalf of Motorsport Australia, I’d like to thank Kris and the whole Polaris Australia and New Zealand team for their continued support of the AORC.

“We highly value this partnership and look forward to seeing more Polaris vehicles in the biggest off road championship around the country.”
