The Bendigo Car Club (BCC) will host an exciting weekend of khanacross on Sunday with a double feature taking place at Bagshot Motorsports Complex.
Running on Sunday, the multi-club khanacross will see more than 20 drivers contest round four of the Motorsport Australia Victorian Khanacross Championship and round two of the club's own series.
Amongst those taking part in the round is Mathew Caldwell, fresh from his outright win in the state championship's most recent round in Deniliquin.
Winning just two tests, the round proved a highly competitive one for Caldwell and the other 18 competitors who fought closely for the coveted top spots, with only five seconds separating the top three.
Tom Johannesen, who closed out the podium and finished top of his MP4 class at Deniliquin, will likely be Caldwell's biggest threat on the weekend as he looks to close the gap between him and the frontrunner.
Other class winners from the most recent state round in Jeff Salmon, Matthew Webb and Jeff Cameron will also be eager to defend their class titles this weekend, alongside a host of strong names including James Ware and Declan Webb.
As per usual, awards for both rounds will be given to the first in each class, with first going to the driver with the lowest cumulative time across the tests. The competition will also recognise the best drivers in the Juniors, Ladies and Masters categories.
More information on the event can be found on the
Bendigo Car Club website.
The combined Motorsport Australia Victorian Khanacross Championship and BCC event will take place at Bagshot Motorsports Complex on Sunday 30 July.
