The annual
Victorian 6 Hour Relay is back this weekend following a stellar turnout last year, which saw 36 teams take to the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.
Supported by the Gippsland Car Club, Victorian Mini Club and Phillip Island Auto Club, more than a 100 drivers across 28 teams will battle it out on the famous circuit once again as they look to battle it out over six hours of non-stop action.
Amongst the solid entry list are last year’s winners 'Just Regular Guys', who delivered an extraordinary victory over the strong field of 36 teams with an end result of 27192.
Also joining them will be the runner-up crew 'Panorama Mountain Men', who have proved to be podium mainstayers in recent years – their second place last year adding to their overall victories in 2018 and 2019.
There will be plenty of other top 10 finishers from 2022 entered in the event, including 'Races 2', 'Mini Works Team', 'Doghouse', 'Grumpy Racing', and the popular outfit 'Shake n Bake'.
In groups of four to six, the teams will work together to achieve the highest score, a result determined using the team’s actual laps, lost laps, bonus laps, penalty laps and imposed penalty laps.
Trophies for first, second and third outright will be awarded to all the team members, including the Team Manager, at the end of the weekend.
Entries to take part in the event have now closed, and entrants who have never competed at the Phillip Island Circuit in a four-wheeled vehicle must attend a compulsory Drivers' Briefing and take part in the first timers’ session on Saturday.
The Victorian 6 Hour Relay will take place on 29-30 July at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.
