The Motorsport Australia New South Wales Off Road Championship will make its way to Milbrodale for a jam-packed weekend of action on the dirt roads of the Hunter Valley region.

Hosted by the Hunter Valley Off Road Racing Association, the Hedweld Group of Companies Milbrodale Mountain Classic will be the fifth round of what has been a thrilling 2023 season to date and will see an impressive 58 crews battle it out for outright honours.

The weekend will also host the third round of the East Coast Tri-Challenge Series, as crews from all around the state make the trip almost 100 kilometres northwest of Newcastle for the challenging race.

The event will be made up of four races spanning across short, medium and long tracks with the fastest overall time across the 246 kilometres to decide who walks away as the round winner.

Crews will tackle up to 66 kilometres in the first race on Saturday, before two sprints combining for the same amount of distance on Sunday sets up the longer 132 kilometre race four later on in the afternoon.

After an emphatic victory last time out in Dongdingalong, Justin Guy headlines a stacked entry list that promises to put on a brilliant display of off road action.

His closest competitor in that event, Lachlan Campbell will also return to round five fresh of a second-place finish in the SXS Turbo class in the Polaris Motorsport Australia Off Road Championships just last week.

A driver looking to improve on his previous result will be Matthew Huxley, who entered the previous round as the championship leader and will be looking to regain that status this time around – only this time he will have another championship contender, Nathan Wills to get past first.

Kevin Cant will also be looking to improve on a sixth-place finish last time out to ignite a further spark in the title race.

Fans planning on attending the event as a spectator, entry is free, and camping is also available.

Those unable to make it to the event but wish to keep up with the action, the event will be live streamed for the first time ever on the 4Off Productions YouTube.

The fifth round of the Motorsport Australia New South Wales Off Road Championship and the third round of the East Coast Tri-Challenge Series will take place in the Hunter Valley region on 4-6 August.
