In what was a strong start to this year’s South Australia Off Road Racing Association (SAORRA) Multi Club Series, it was local star Aaron Haby who wrapped up round five victorious.

With a solid field of 18 crews entered in the popular AMY Nominees Wynarka Enduro, the 2022 Loveday 400 winner was in fine form alongside navigators Dana Eggers and Chelsea Haby, winning both sections of the weekend to claim a three and a half minute win over Adam Bierl and Nyree Burmingham.

Despite a challenging Prologue where he finished sixth overall, once the race got underway, Haby couldn’t be stopped as he finished with a two minute lead at the end of section one.

Intrestingly, it was his brother Carl who posted the fastest lap of the day, his opening lap of eight remaining unbeaten, however the Prologue winner had multiple issues throughout the day, as he limped home in seventh.

Brenton Forsyth was setting himself up for another promising weekend, achieving a brilliant third place finish in section one behind Haby and Bierl , but became one of the many of victims of the challenging event on section two.

Although they lost the second section by the smallest of margins, Lampard and Gaskin had done enough across the weekend to earn a third place finish overall, while Carl Haby came fourth.

Rounding out the top five were Percival and Eggers, whose podium finish in section two saw the duo masterfully climb from eighth to third.

Outside the outright battle for honours, which saw just eight finishers, the round also celebrated a variety of class winners, including Haby for Pro Buggy and Lampard for Prolite Buggy.

Mark Taylor also took home the win for the Super 1650 Buggy class, while Nick Burt won the Extreme 2WD and Hamish Lochert achieved top spot in Sportslite.
