Multiple titles in the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia will go right down to the wire this weekend, with both championship and endurance honours on the line.
One of the six support categories featuring in the highly anticipated VAILO Adelaide 500, the category will have three races over the course of the weekend, with Equity-One Pro outright and endurance, and the SP Tools Pro-Am overall and endurance titles all to be decided.
In the outright title fight, just 21 points separate current leader Jackson Walls and his rival Callum Hedge, and with 181 points up for grabs this weekend – it’s anyone’s to win.
Sitting in third place is Dylan O’Keefe, who still has a mathematical chance of winning the title as he is 167 points off the lead.
While the outright title might be slightly out of reach for O’Keefe, he is in the box seat to win the Enduro Cup prize in Friday’s extended race, as he holds a 17-point lead over Hedge and a 22-point advantage over Walls.
The SP Tools Pro-Am Class is just as close as just 30 points separates the top three contending drivers, which is led by Adrian Flack.
Dean Cook and Sam Shahin are both very good chances to take out the title as Cook sits just 23 points off Flack, while Shahin sits a further five points off the mark.
Like the outright endurance cup, the Pro-Am title fight is between the top three contenders and once again, there is very little difference separating them.
Of course, while all eyes will be on the six drivers and their respective championship title fights, there are plenty of other drivers for fans to keep an eye on.
Already the category has had seven different winners from seven rounds so far, and there are quite a few talented steerers who are capable of making it eight different round winners, which would be the first time in the championship’s 20-year history.
Some of those drivers looking to end the year on a high include Fabian Coulthard, Nick McBride, Max Vidau, Christian Pancione, Angelo Mouzouris and teammate Simon Fallon.
Throw in the mix previous round winners in Dale Wood and Bayley Hall, and the final round of the Carrera Cup is set up for a thrilling conclusion.

The category will have a single practice session on Thursday before a busy Friday sees competitors tackle another practice session, qualifying and the final Enduro Cup race.
Both Saturday and Sunday will have one sprint race each, with the title likely to be decided on Sunday afternoon.
The Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship’s final round takes place on the streets of Adelaide as part of the VAILO Adelaide 500 on 23-26 November.
