The ever-popular Motorsport Australia Victorian Hillclimb Championship has confirmed several major details ahead of the 2024 season, which begins later this month.

Regarded as one of the nation’s premier hill climb championships, six rounds will make up the 2024 calendar spread across four different facilities in the state.

The season gets underway at the famous Rob Roy Hill Climb, with the MG Car Club of Victoria to run the event in its traditional time slot in the middle of January.

Almost 50 competitors have entered the event, including previous winner Mike Barker, with entries to remain open for another week before closing. Interested participants can enter via the Motorsport Australia Member Portal.

Following on from this month’s opening round will be visits to the popular Bryant Park and Mt Leura, which will be run by the Gippsland Car Club and Ballarat Light Car Club in February and March.

The championship will return to Bryant Park for the second time in April as the Phillip Island Auto Racing Club holds the fourth round of the season before returning to Rob Roy in May for the penultimate round, hosted by the Mini Car Club of Victoria.

The season will then wrap up in August with the Ararat Car Club to host a two-day finale at One Tree Hill.

In addition to the calendar being confirmed, the championship itself received another major boost ahead of the opening round, with Trydel Research staying on as the major partner for an 11th consecutive season.

As a result, the championship will once again promote the company’s EZIUP AND GO Tyre Repair kit by adding it as title sponsor.

The EZI Up and Go Motorsport Australia Victorian Hillclimb Championship’s opening round takes place at the Rob Roy Hillclimb on Sunday 21 January.
