AWC Race Tasmania – TCR Tribunal update
Monday 08 April, 2024
Tony D’Alberto has lodged an appeal against the decision to allocate no points in the opening TCR race of AWC Race Tasmania.
Motorsport Australia can provide an update regarding the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series’ previous round at AWC Race Tasmania.
Following the Stewards’ decision to award no points for the opening race of the event after a successful protest from Garry Rogers Motorsport, Tony D’Alberto subsequently lodged a protest against the compilation of the points for the round as a whole.
The protest was then heard by the Stewards on Friday, 5 April and dismissed.
D’Alberto has also lodged an appeal against the decision to allocate no points for Race 1, and a tribunal hearing for the matter has been set for Tuesday 9 April.
A final decision is intended to be determined prior to this weekend’s Ford Mustang 60 Years Race Phillip Island, with both the round and overall standings remaining provisional until the judicial process is resolved.
Motorsport Australia will advise on the outcome of any future judicial matters relating to this matter.
