Motorsport Australia is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of long-time Race Engineer and respected Supercars figure, Campbell Little.
Little experienced significant success in his career as an engineer, working with teams including Stone Brothers Racing, Triple Eight, Ford Performance Racing and Dick Johnson Racing.
Among his many accomplishments, Little won five Bathurst 1000s and two drivers’ championships across his decades in the Supercars paddock.
Little got his start in racing as a competitor, racing motorcycles across a variety of disciplines – his skills a as mechanic driving his early success and understanding of the industry.
Landing a job with Honda Great Britain in the early 1980s, Little got his first opportunity on the other side of the garage – the catalyst for what would evolve into a career in four-wheel competition spanning more than 30 years.
Motorsport Australia CEO Sunil Vohra was saddened to hear of Campbell’s passing.
“On behalf of the entire Motorsport Australia Board, administration and membership, we pass on our sympathies to Campbell’s family and friends and thank him for his service to the Australian motorsport community,” Vohra said.
“Campbell’s contribution to Supercars and the wider motorsport community cannot be understated, he will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and worked with him over the years.
“Our thoughts are with the Little family and the Supercars community during this difficult time.”
