A new and exciting study, in collaboration between Motorsport Australia and Queensland University of Technology, will investigate how drivers train using simulators and whether or not participants use a simulator or not.
The aim of the study is to develop an understanding of driver athletes and their training protocols. This can assessed through their use of training simulators and other methods of increasing driving ability.
Participants, who will engage with university researchers over Zoom call, are eligible to be part of the study if they have a role within motorsport, have first-hand experience in motorsport (on-track) within the past four years, and are fluent in English.
Participants must also be 16 years of age or older to participate. 16 and 17-year-olds require parental consent to participate.
All participants who complete the study will be gifted a $15 AUD visa gift card voucher for their commitment to the study.
Those interested in participating can send an email to n11804408@qut.edu.au, where they will then be screened for suitability before being sent a consent survey.
