Daughter-father duo to feature at Sydney 300

A unique driver combination will feature as part of the 2026 Motor Racing Australia Viola Private Wealth Sydney 300 grid this weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park, with Paige and David Raddatz joining forces for the MX5 Mania car entry as they prepare to chase Class B honours.

Paige makes an anticipated return home from Japan for Saturday’s Sydney 300, where she is currently competing in the highly competitive Kyojo Cup open-wheeler championship.

Raddatz has continued to build her reputation internationally and will look to transfer some of that success to Australia on home soil.

After being in a commanding position late in the race at last year’s Wakefield 300, Paige and brother Zac Raddatz were on track for victory before a mechanical failure prematurely ended their pursuit of the win, adding to Paige’s hopes of tallying a good performance on Saturday.

The combination of David’s endurance racing experience and Paige’s current international open-wheel racing form is expected to make the pair genuine contenders at this weekend’s event.

David himself boasts an impressive endurance racing record, previously claiming victories in both the Wakefield 300 and Winton 300, with the Sydney 300 win still eluding his grasp.

“We’re looking forward to racing together and having another crack at one of the biggest endurance events on the calendar,” David Raddatz said.

“Paige is driving exceptionally well, and hopefully we can turn last year’s strong result into an even better one this year.”

After David and Zac finished second outright in last year’s Sydney 300, the MX5 Mania team enters the 2026 event with a clear goal of standing on the top step of the podium.

Family will be a common theme of the 2026 Sydney 300, with 11 same-surname driver combinations confirmed for this year’s grid.
