Unsealed surfaces are the lead act for this weekend’s events, with an assortment of rally, rally sprint, off road and khanacross events taking place across multiple states.
The third round of the EROAD Australian Rally Championship begins this week as teams head to the coastal New South Wales town of Narooma for three days of action beginning with Friday’s Shakedown.
The Hunter Valley Off Road Racing Association will welcome off road teams to compete in the 2026 Hedweld Group of Companies Milbrodale Mountain Classic over three days from Friday to Sunday.
New South Wales is set to host a lone khanacross event with Coffs Harbour and District Sporting Club to put on Round 2 of its 2026 khanacross series. Meanwhile, residents between Wollondilly and the Southern Highlands may want to keep an eye out to get a glimpse of the Alfa Romeo Club of Australia’s (NSW) The Tour d’Course this Sunday.
Rally sprint also gets a feature this week with the Central Australian Rally Sports Club hosting its first S1 event of the year by its motorplex venue in Alice Springs.
Sticking with the off road theme, competitors can also look forward to the 2026 edition of the Patto’s 7 Hour Enduro. This event is an annual memorial off road gathering held in honour of Jason ‘Patto’ Pattison.
Outlined as a “day to come together, race hard, and remember a great mate”, the event allows competitors to race either in a team of two cars or as a solo “Iron Man” driver over seven continuous hours of racing. Taking place on Saturday, the event is run by the North Queensland Offroad Racing Association out at Millchester Motorsport Complex.
Across Queensland, South Australia and Victoria alone, eight khanacross events are scheduled to take place.
On Saturday and Sunday, these events will run out of EP Autosports Club, Westmere Motor Sport, Pakenham Auto Club, Central Coast Car Club, FNQ Motorsports Club, Townsville City Autosports Club and Whitsunday Sporting Car Club as part of its Members Day.
A trio of State Championship Rounds will also take place this weekend, with Round 6 of the 2026 EziUp and Go Motorsport Australia Victorian Hillclimb Championship to be held at Rob Roy Hillclimb, Round 2 of the WA State Motorkhana Championship locked in at the Tiger Kart Club, and The Bend Motorsport Park will host the Motorsport Australia 2026 South Australian Summit Championship’s third round.
