24 Hours of Spa – Spa-Francorchamps
Australian drivers were scattered throughout the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, with Matt Campbell leading the nation’s charge in the world’s biggest GT endurance race.
Campbell produced the standout Australian performance, finishing 4th outright aboard the No. 22 Schumacher CLRT Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO. Sharing driving duties with Ayhancan Güven and Frédéric Makowiecki, the Porsche factory trio remained in podium contention throughout the 24-hour contest before crossing the line just a few seconds behind the winning Lionspeed GP Porsche after 541 laps.

Christian Mansell completed his Spa 24 Hours debut with 23rd outright and 6th in the Silver Cup. The Team Motopark Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, shared with Levente Révész, Yannick Mettler and Rui Andrade, overcame the demands of the enduro classic to finish the race.

Garnet Patterson was the next-best Australian home, claiming 27th outright and 4th in the Bronze Cup with 2 Seas Motorsport. Patterson teamed up with Reece Barr, Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, completing 532 laps in a strong endurance showing.
Jordan Love also reached the chequered flag, finishing 29th overall and claiming the class win in the Pro-Am Cup. Driving the Johor Motorsports Racing JMR Corvette Z06 GT3.R alongside Prince Jefri Ibrahim, Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim and Ben Green, the quartet completed 531 laps.
Jayden Kelly finished just behind in 37th overall and 11th in the Silver Cup, driving Greystone GT’s McLaren 720S GT3 EVO with Zac Meakin, Tommy Pintos and Josh Rattican.

Bayley Hall and Andres Latorre rounded out the Australian contingent in 45th overall and 8th in the Bronze Cup. The Australians shared the Mühlner Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R with Tobias Müller and Armand Fumal, with the crew overcoming several setbacks before Müller crashed at Eau Rouge, ending the team’s run after 427 laps.
Calan Williams was less fortunate on track with Century Motorsport, recording a DNF prior to the halfway point of the session. Originally starting fourth on the grid in the Bronze Cup, Williams and his team were confident. Following an incident at the start of the race and then another one 10 hours in, the car was forced to retire.

Bryce Fullwood and the Razoon team managed to put together an outright 42nd place finish in the Pro-Am field completing 460 laps for the race in the #914 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO.
Formula 1 – Spielberg
Oscar Piastri delivered another composed performance at the Austrian Grand Prix, recovering from a disappointing qualifying session to finish fourth at the Red Bull Ring.
The Australian showed encouraging pace throughout practice, ending Friday second fastest in Free Practice 2 behind championship leader Kimi Antonelli.
Qualifying, however, proved tougher than expected.
Piastri could only manage seventh on the grid after struggling to extract the same pace. Despite the setback, he remained optimistic that the car’s race pace would allow him to move forward on Sunday.

Piastri made an excellent start and steadily worked his way through the field, using McLaren’s strong tyre management and race pace to climb into fourth.
While Mercedes’ George Russell held off Max Verstappen and Kimi Antonelli for victory, Piastri spent much of the afternoon maximising his strategy and capitalising on opportunities as the race unfolded.
He crossed the line in fourth, narrowly missing the podium but collected 12 valuable championship points.
Next up for Piastri will be the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, to take place from 3-5 July.
Formula 3 – Spielberg
James Wharton displayed one of his strongest weekends of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 season at Spielberg, displaying impressive pace from qualifying through to both races, despite falling short of the podiums.
The Australian put himself in a strong position on Friday by qualifying 12th, which secured reverse-grid pole position for Saturday’s Sprint Race.
Wharton made the most of his opportunity in the Sprint Race, converting pole position into an early lead and controlling proceedings throughout much of the race.
He looked likely to secure his third Formula 3 victory before heartbreak struck in the closing laps.
Running second after being overtaken late, Wharton made a small mistake on the penultimate lap that allowed another rival through, dropping him to fourth at the chequered flag.
Despite missing the podium, the PREMA Racing driver was encouraged by the team’s improved pace and believed the weekend marked a significant step forward.

Starting 12th in Sunday’s Feature Race, Wharton once again demonstrated strong race craft as he worked his way through the field.
He gained several positions in a clean and measured drive to finish seventh, adding more valuable championship points.
6 Hours of The Glen – Watkins Glen
Tom Sargent celebrated a podium finish in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship after helping Wright Motorsports secure second place in the GTD class at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International.
Sharing the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R with Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer, the Australian produced a strong endurance drive on the weekend.
After a productive lead-up through practice, the Wright Motorsports crew qualified strongly in the highly competitive GTD field.

The race itself was an interesting affair, featuring nine full-course cautions, changing strategies and relentless traffic. Sargent navigated the chaos while avoiding the incidents that caught out several rivals.
While the overall honours went to Cadillac Whelen Racing in the GTP class, Sargent, Adelson and Skeer capped off an impressive weekend by claiming second in GTD, adding another strong result to Sargent’s growing IMSA résumé.
GT4 European Series – Spa-Francorchamps
Lachlan Evennett had a solid weekend at the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit in Belgium for Round 3 of the European GT4 Series.
Finishing up P9 and P7 in Silver Class in a 45-car field alongside his Dutch co-driver Mees Houben. Lachlan was also named Rookie of the Race for Race 2.

The young Aussie will now undergo testing at Zandvoort, Netherlands during the next couple of weeks and then in Misano, Italy for Round 4 of European GT4 in three weeks’ time. Evennett then returns home to Darwin for Round 4 of Monochrome GT4 Australia.
Porsche Supercup – Spielberg
Both rookie Caleb Sumich and Sam Shahin made their way to Spielberg’s Red Bull Ring for Round 3 of the Porsche Supercup after solid showings in Monaco and Barcelona.
Both hung around in the middle of the pack for Free Practice, with Sumish putting together the 19th-fastest lap time and Shahin closely following behind in 23rd.
Shahin was unable to budge in Qualifying, starting 23rd on the grid in the main race, while Sumich almost cracked the top 10, qualifying 12th on the back of a 1:31.021 lap.

Shahin remained consistent in the feature race, again finishing in the 23rd placing, where he had hung around the entire weekend. Sumich also performed well, only dropping a pair of positions to finish 14th.
Round 4 takes place at the Belgian Grand Prix from 17-19 July.
