A strong spread of motorsport events will take place across the country this weekend, beginning the second half of the year at full throttle.
Western Australia will lead from the front, enjoying its busiest motorsport weekend of the year so far with half a dozen events on the schedule.
This includes the fourth round of the TECCWA’s RedMist Series at the Perth Motorplex, Round 2 of the Light Car Club of WA’s khanacross series, and the Western Desert Racers’ first Test & Tune session of the year on Mount Vetters.
States and territories to hold a single event on this particular weekend entails the Sporting Car Club of SA’s third round of the 2026 Ray Pank Winter Cup, the Storm Hill Sprint event hosted by the 500 Car Club of Tasmania, and North Australian Motor Sports Club’s Rejex 2026 Practice Event along the Hughes Airstrip in the Northern Territory.
New South Wales will be responsible for a handful of events over Saturday and Sunday. Round 5 of the Motor Racing Australia Series is set to take place at Sydney Motorsport Australia, the Hills District Car Club is hosting a July motorkhana event in Silverdale, and the Porsche Club of NSW’s Supersprint Championship reaches its fifth round.
Victoria’s regional car clubs will put on a strong showing with Bendigo Car Club to run a rally sprint events at its Bagshot base on Sunday, Shepparton & District Car Club is now up to Round 7 of its khanacross series, which will also involve a Come & Try session, and the Impreza WRX Club of Victoria and Alfa Romeo Owners’ Club of Australia (Victoria) will both share the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit with respective events this weekend.
Another half dozen events will be held in Queensland. To list a few clubs, Warwick District Sporting Car Club, Proston Car Rally Club, and Gold Coast Tweed Motorsporting Club are all among this weekend’s organising bodies for upcoming events.
