Less than 48 hours remain until the return of the 2026 Shannons SpeedSeries, this time taking the form of the LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Queensland, with Queensland Raceway hosting the third round of the campaign.
Featuring five exciting categories, more than 15 hours of on-track action and a packed line-up of fan experiences, the three-day motorsport festival promises something for every motorsport fan and leads the way for events in Queensland this weekend.
Supporting it, will be Noosa Beach Classic Car Club’s Winter Noosa Hillclimb, Townsville City Autosports Club’s North Queensland Invitational khanacross event and Round 4 of the Millmerran Auto Club’s Dirt Sprint Series to outline a bit of what is happening in the sunshine state – despite rain forecast for much of the state.
A dozen events make up the schedule in New South Wales during the next few days. This includes an interclub challenge event hosted by the Porsche Club of NSW and the fourth round of the MRA Series at Sydney Motorsport Park on Saturday, which also includes Practice on Friday.
Other events range from the Westlakes Automobile Club’s rallysprint event at Awabawac Park, the third round of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia Scholarship Series at One Raceway, and Round 4 of the NSW Motorkhana Championship hosted by Thornleigh Car Club at Nirimba Education Precinct.
Event 2 of the 2026 Motorsport Australia Summit South Australian Motor Racing Championship returns to The Bend Motorsport Park as part of a three-event weekend in South Australia, further backed up by Walkerville All Cars Club’s second round of its rallysprint series and Round 2 of the South Eastern Automobile Club of SA’s motorkhana season.
Other events to keep an eye on throughout the weekend include North West Car Club’s Latrobe Motorkhana at Latrobe Speedway in Tasmania, Round 2 of the South West Touring Car Club’s autocross calendar and a bundle of nine events based in Victoria which can all be found in the events breakdown below:
