Few drivers in Australian motorsport embody perseverance and loyalty quite like Cam Waters.

From humble beginnings in regional Victoria to becoming one of Supercars’ premier stars, Waters has built a reputation as one of the country’s most versatile racers, combining raw speed with an unmistakable resilience.

Born in Mildura, Waters discovered motorsport through karting before progressing to Formula Vee and then Formula Ford.

His breakthrough came in 2011 when he won the Australian Formula Ford Championship and the inaugural Shannons Supercar Showdown television competition.

The prize earned the then 17-year-old an unlikely Bathurst 1000 debut, a new record at the time in terms of race debut age, launching a pathway that would shape his professional career.

After continuing his development in the Super2 Series, Waters claimed the 2015 championship and secured a full-time Supercars drive with Tickford Racing the following season.

It marked the beginning of one of the longest driver-team partnerships in Supercars history, with Waters remaining loyal to the Ford squad throughout his career and establishing himself as the team’s benchmark driver.

Since then, Waters has become one of the sport’s most consistent frontrunners.

Multiple race victories, pole positions and championship challenges has further solidified his place among Supercars’ best.

What separates Waters from many of his rivals is his aforementioned versatility.

Away from Supercars, he has become a regular winner in Sprint Cars, embraced dirt racing whenever opportunities arise and has also ventured to the United States to contest the NASCAR Cup and Craftsman Truck Series.

Today, Cam Waters sits comfortably among the leading figures of Australian motorsport in the #6 Tickford car.

He embodies a modern Supercars driver, while remaining connected to the grassroots spirit that first ignited his passion for racing.

As he continues his pursuit of an elusive Supercars Championship and Bathurst victory, Waters has already secured his place as one of Australia’s most respected racing talents and a favourite among fans across the country.
