Geoff Lanham has become a driving force behind the growth of grassroots circuit racing officiating in New South Wales, and his work is being celebrated as the Supercheap Auto Official Superstar for July.

In his role as Chief Marshal, most recently at Round 5 of the 2026 Motor Racing Australia Series, Geoff creates an environment that supports development and builds confidence throughout the officials team.

Geoff’s leadership starts long before competitors take to the track, beginning with his pre-event communication. Thorough and welcoming, he ensures officials have all the information they need while helping to ease the nerves of those attending for the first time.

Trackside, Geoff excels at placing officials in roles that match their skills while also identifying opportunities for them to develop new capabilities.

Through detailed briefings, patient mentoring and ongoing encouragement, he empowers officials to step outside of their comfort zones, knowing they have the support they need to succeed.

Even after the event concludes, Geoff continues to invest in the people around him.

He personally thanks officials for their efforts, recognising the vital role they play in delivering safe and successful motorsport events.
