FIA World Endurance Championship – Fuji
Yasser Shahin and the #92 The Bend Manthey Porsche endured a difficult 6 Hours of Fuji, finishing 12th in LMGT3 alongside co-drivers Riccardo Pera and Richard Lietz.
The Porsche started 17th in class after qualifying was cancelled due to heavy rain and fog, with grid positions determined by practice times.
The race was compromised almost immediately when Shahin was involved in a first-lap incident at Turn 1, forcing the #92 Porsche into the pits for repairs.
The lengthy repair stop dropped the car well down the order, leaving Shahin, Pera and Lietz with a difficult recovery drive.
Despite the setback, the crew continued to fight through the six-hour race and brought the Porsche home 12th, completing the event and adding valuable experience from a challenging weekend.
The result was a contrast to the #92 crew’s strong 2026 campaign, which had already included podium finishes at Imola, Spa and São Paulo, including a victory at Spa.
The next round heads to Catalonia for the 6 Hours of Barcelona from 16-18 October.
Formula 1 – Baku
Oscar Piastri was on track to attain a podium finish at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix despite his late-race mistake. Starting third, Piastri made an excellent launch to move into second at Turn 1 and then produced a strong opening stint, holding off pressure from both Red Bulls driven by Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar inside the top four.
His pace through Baku’s tighter sections helped him defend despite McLaren’s lack of straight-line speed. He remained in podium contention until a lock-up at Turn 1 late in the race sent him into the run-off and dropped him down the order, contributing to Piastri eventually finishing 13th.
Piastri and McLaren took plenty of positives from the weekend and will look to implement them at the Sepang Circuit in the next round of the championship from 2-4 October.
Prior to the race, Piastri qualified third, just 0.001 seconds behind Charles Leclerc, and said he felt he had better direction with the car.
McLaren team principal Andrea Stella also praised Piastri’s race, describing his driving as “brilliant” before the lock-up.
GT World Challenge America – Alabama
Tom Sargent enjoyed a strong weekend in GT World Challenge America, securing a Pro-Am class podium at Barber Motorsports Park alongside teammate Kyle Washington in the No. 32 GMG Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R.
The pair fought through an eventful race to finish third in class, moving GMG Racing back into the Pro-Am championship lead by six points.
Washington started the race strongly before becoming involved in an early incident that sent him into a spin.
Despite the setback, the GMG Racing crew recovered well through the pit stops and driver changes, putting Sargent into contention during the closing stages.
Sargent produced a determined drive in the final stint, battling Daniel Morad for third place in class.
Contact between the two left Sargent’s Porsche with damage, but he continued to fight for the podium. Morad later went off track, allowing Sargent to move back into the top four.
The Australian then became involved in another intense battle with Scott Andrews for the final podium position.
Andrews was subsequently handed a 10-second post-race penalty, but Sargent did not wait for the result to be decided and made the move on track to secure third place. He then held off a late challenge from Philip Ellis to bring the Porsche home on the podium.
The result marked an important points haul for Sargent and Washington, with their podium helping GMG Racing reclaim the Pro-Am championship lead.
USF2000 – Wisconsin
Brad Majman and Eddie Beswick finished the 2026 USF2000 season at Road America, with both Australians featuring strongly across the final three races.
Beswick enjoyed a standout weekend, claiming two victories and finishing the season with four wins.
He started the opening race from pole position and took a controlled victory for Pabst Racing after title contenders Sebastian Garzon and Majman tangled on Lap 2.
Beswick took advantage of the incident to close the championship gap to Garzon, keeping his title hopes alive with two races remaining.
Majman’s opening race was more difficult. After starting fifth, he made a strong start to move into third before contact with Garzon sent both drivers down the order.
Majman eventually rejoined a lap down, but set a new race lap record to claim an additional championship point. The result left him 13 points behind Garzon heading into the final two races.
The second race saw Majman qualify third, but his race ended after an attempted move under braking resulted in his Pabst Racing car being launched into the air. Beswick was also involved in a late battle for the lead and finished outside the points.
Beswick bounced back in the finale, starting from pole after his team repaired the car. Despite briefly losing the lead on the opening lap, he regained control and secured his second win of the weekend. Majman finished fifth.
Garzon ultimately won the championship with 383 points, while Majman finished second with 354 points and Beswick third with 339 points.
British F4 Championship – Silverstone
George Proudford-Nalder continued his British F4 campaign at Silverstone, completing the penultimate round of the 2026 season.
The Australian qualified 16th before making progress in the opening race, finishing 12th at the famous Northamptonshire circuit.
Proudford-Nalder followed that result with another solid drive in Race 2, crossing the line 13th before a more challenging final race saw him finish 23rd.
Despite the difficult final result, Proudford-Nalder remains fifth in the championship standings with 159.5 points, putting him in a strong position to finish the season inside the top five.
The Australian will now turn his attention to the season finale at Brands Hatch from 10–11 October, where he will look to close out his British F4 campaign on a high.
GB3 Championship – Brands Hatch
Hillspeed’s Dante Vinci enjoyed a strong weekend at Brands Hatch in the GB3 Championship, producing a consistent run of results for Hillspeed across the three races.
Vinci started the weekend with an 11th-place finish in Race 1, before improving to sixth in Race 2. He saved his strongest result for the final race, coming home fourth after running among the leading group throughout the contest.
The results give Vinci a solid points haul heading into the final round of the season. He currently sits 11th in the drivers’ standings with 168 points.
Vinci will now turn his attention to the GB3 season finale in Barcelona from 7–8 November, where he will look to finish his campaign strongly.
International GT Open – Monza
Christian Mansell and Nicolas Stati were both in action at Monza for the latest round of the International GT Open.
Mansell shared the Motopark Mercedes-AMG with Maxi Götz and started from pole position for the GT Open 500. Mansell made a strong start to take the lead and remained at the front through the early stages, with the race featuring several Safety Car periods and multiple pit stops.
After the opening driver change, Götz took over at the front before Mansell returned to the car later in the race. With just over 20 laps remaining, Mansell was back in the lead and battling closely with McLaren driver Tom Macdonald and Moncini.
The final round of pit stops changed the order, with Götz emerging in second behind Rodrigo Testa. However, with just three laps remaining, Götz suffered an apparent suspension failure at the exit of Ascari and was sent into the wall, ending the team’s race and their title hopes. Moncini and Testa went on to take victory.
Stati also made an appearance at Monza, but his race ended early after he was caught up in an incident at the first chicane on Lap 12. Stati was involved after Veselaho spun following contact with Schwarzer, bringing out the first Safety Car of the race.
The International GT Open season now heads to Barcelona as a Sprint round for its final stop of the season from 25-26 September.
Eurocup-3 – Jerez
Gianmarco Pradel showed strong pace during the latest Eurocup-3 round at Jerez, featuring near the front of the field in qualifying before producing a pair of solid race results.
Pradel was particularly impressive in Qualifying 1, securing fourth position with a competitive lap in a tightly packed field. He converted that pace into an eighth-place finish in Race 1, navigating a race affected by multiple Safety Car periods.
The Australian then lined up for the Sprint Race, where he finished 14th following an eventful contest that included a red-flag interruption. Despite the more difficult result, Pradel’s qualifying performance and Race 1 pace highlighted his competitiveness throughout the weekend.
Eurocup-3 now heads towards the final stages of the 2026 season, with the next round scheduled at the Hungaroring from 23-25 October, before the championship concludes in Barcelona from 13-15 November.
Supercars Iberian Series – Valencia
Lachlan Evennett has taken a double podium in Round 3 of the Supercars Iberian Series at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain.
Racing in the Pro – Bronze class with Lithuanian bronze driver Andrius Zemaitis, the duo finished P3 in Race 1 and then capped the weekend off with P1 in the Race 2 on a warm Sunday afternoon in Valencia.
Evennett was consistently one of the fastest Pro drivers all weekend over both the races at the Spanish track despite never being to the track before.
Race 1, Evennett got the Speedy Motorsports Toyota Supra GT4 EVO 2 in P18 after the Bronze drivers opening stint and finished the race in P11 outright, even with a 12 second pit stop to take P3 in class.
In Sundays race, Evennett started the first stint from P9 and brought the car into the pits in P2 outright before handing the car over to his co driver and despite the team losing a few places in the second part of the race they crossed the line P1 in class to take the Pro-Bronze class victory.
Evennett now has 2 weeks off before he will take on the Nurburging in the final round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie on 10 October with Adrenalin Motorsports before finishing his 2026 European GT4 campaign at Portimão, Portugal the following weekend.
