DUNLOP Super2 Series
Brad Vaughan and Lochie Dalton shared the spoils in an eventful DUNLOP Super2 Series weekend at Mount Panorama, with Blanchard Racing Team also celebrating a milestone result in the opening race.Dalton strengthened his championship lead on Friday, claiming his fourth victory of the 2026 season securing a one-two finish alongside BRT teammate Bailey Sweeny.
Sweeny converted his maiden Super2 pole position into the early lead, but a mistake at Murray’s Corner following the first safety car restart allowed Dalton to sweep past. The series leader subsequently controlled proceedings, pulling away from Sweeny to secure a commanding victory.
The opening lap had already delivered significant drama, with Tickford teammates Ben Gomersall and Reuben Goodall making contact at Hell Corner.
Both were forced to retire, dealing a major blow to Goodall’s championship aspirations. Further incidents involving Elliott Cleary and Bradi Owen, along with Matt Hillyer and Jonathon Webb, added to the disruption.
Sweeny finished second, while Brad Vaughan held off Nash Morris to claim third. Campbell Logan completed the top five, with Brendon Leitch producing an impressive debut to finish ninth after gaining six positions on the opening lap.
Saturday’s second race belonged to Vaughan, who produced a commanding performance to claim his maiden Bathurst victory.
Starting fifth, the Commodore driver surged through the field as front-row starters Sweeny and Ryan Tomsett struggled off the line.
Vaughan quickly moved into second behind Morris before launching a decisive attack at Murray’s Corner on lap four.
A clever feint to the outside followed by a switch to the inside allowed Vaughan to take the lead, although the move forced Morris wide and elevated Dalton and Tomsett into podium contention.
Once in front, Vaughan proved untouchable, gradually extending his advantage to finish more than 3.5 seconds clear of Dalton. Tomsett secured third, while Morris slipped back through the field.
Reuben Goodall recovered strongly from 10th on the grid to finish fifth, helping limit the damage from his Friday retirement. Further back, Bayley Hall and Webb engaged in a fierce battle for position, with Webb eventually prevailing on the final lap.
The Super2 field will carry its Bathurst momentum into the next round of the season at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 from 6-8 November.

Aaron Love finished fourth, ahead of Max Geoghegan, while Jacque Jarjo claimed Pro-Am honours in 13th outright.
The race also featured a frightening moment when a kangaroo ventured onto Conrod Straight in the closing stages.
Jarjo was forced to take evasive action with Josh Thomas close behind, but both drivers avoided contact as the safety car was deployed to allow the animal to leave the circuit.
Saturday’s second race saw Bloxsom break through for his first Carrera Cup Australia victory in his 59th career start.
The McElrea Racing driver held off Russell and Jones after the race resumed with two laps remaining, following a start procedure error that caused confusion and prompted a red flag stoppage.
Bloxsom built a one-second advantage over the final two laps to secure the milestone result, capping a busy period that had seen him compete in Porsche Carrera Cup North America at Indianapolis and Porsche Carrera Cup Japan at Fuji.
Matt Slavin also celebrated his first Pro-Am race win of the season, ahead of Matt Belford and Jarjo.
Jones returned to the top step on Sunday, holding off Russell by just 0.69 seconds to claim his second victory of the weekend. Dylan O’Keeffe completed the podium, ahead of Flack and Bloxsom.
The final race featured close battles throughout the leading group, with O’Keeffe and Bloxsom both making moves on Flack.
Late incidents involving Love and Richard McDonald added further drama, although the race remained under green-flag conditions throughout.

Nasr opened proceedings with a dramatic win in Friday’s opening race, making a decisive last-lap move on Gerges to snatch victory.
After a heavy opening-lap crash involving championship leader Brock Stinson and Joshua Marsh brought out the safety car, the race came down to a one-lap dash to the finish.
At the restart, Nasr used the slipstream to sweep around the outside of Gerges at the bottom of The Chase, securing the win as a result.
Gerges settled for second, ahead of Stewart, Kade Davey and Cooper Barnes, before he bounced back on Saturday afternoon to claim his maiden GR Cup victory in Race 2.
The Walkinshaw TWG Racing junior was involved in a thrilling battle with Nasr and Stewart, briefly losing the lead before fighting back to secure the win.

Championship leader Barnes could only manage ninth, keeping the title fight alive heading into the final race of the weekend.
Stewart claimed the final victory on Sunday, passing early leader Gerges with a stunning move around the outside before controlling the race to a safety car finish following a late incident involving Marsh. Thompson finished second, ahead of Nasr, Arthur Broughan and Davey.

Touring Car Masters

Steven Johnson secured his fifth Touring Car Masters (TCM) Championship in style at Mount Panorama, winning two of the weekend’s three championship races and recording his 16th career victory at Bathurst.
The weekend began with Dave Casey claiming his maiden TCM race win in Friday’s limited-points Trophy Race.
Casey led home David Hender and Adam Garwood in a shortened seven-lap encounter that featured several mechanical issues and a safety car period.
Angus Fogg also encountered trouble, hitting the outside wall at Turn 1 on the restart.
Fogg bounced back impressively in Saturday morning’s opening championship race, taking victory in damp conditions after a late safety car set up a final-lap battle with Johnson.
George Miedecke completed the podium, ahead of Garwood and Andrew Fisher.
Johnson’s second-place finish proved valuable in his championship campaign, putting him in a strong position to secure the title.
The second race brought further drama when Fogg was spun by Garwood at The Cutting on the opening lap, triggering a safety car and ending Casey’s race.
Johnson capitalised, controlling the restart to claim victory ahead of Miedecke, while Fogg was left to recover from the incident.
Johnson then completed a commanding weekend in Sunday’s final race, securing another win and confirming his fifth TCM Championship crown.
The result marked his second title with the Russell Hancock-owned Ford Mustang team, capping a season of improvement and consistency after an up-and-down 2025 campaign.
Cameron Tilley brought his popular Valiant Pacer home in third in the final race, followed by Marcus Zukanovic and Ryan Hansford.
Fogg recovered from 21st on the grid to finish inside the top 10, while Scott Cameron ended the race in ninth after a difficult weekend that dented his championship hopes.
Johnson’s latest triumph leaves him just one championship short of equalling the six titles won by longtime family friend John Bowe, further cementing his place among the category’s most successful competitors.

Johnson was promoted to second, while Ruggier completed the podium. Borg had crossed the line first but was relegated to 14th following the penalty.
Sieders had initially controlled the race before Marjoram challenged for the lead at The Chase, sparking an intense battle among the leading contenders.
Earlier incidents involving Richard Mork, Matt Nolan and Grant Johnson also contributed to a busy race, with the latter’s crash at The Esses bringing out the safety car.
Marjoram completed a successful weekend by winning Sunday morning’s final race, holding off Johnson by just 0.87 seconds.
Ruggier secured another podium in third, ahead of Adrian Cottrell and Jack Westbury.
